Right, I should clarify that I mean the Fox News as we know it has good odds of going kaput, I think they’ll need to pick up a new angle as they shed viewers to outlets willing to go the extra crazy mile

Thats mainly because its the go to for conservatives. If they face some competition they may lose that title.

Once Trump fades from public view a bit Fox News viewers will forget they ever liked him. Remember Dubya and McCain and Romney all stopped being conservatives according to Fox. The viewers are fickle. Today’s truth doesn’t have to be the same as yesterday’s.

I think the Democrats have adopted George Bush now as one of their own now in their pursuit of the principled conservative vote.

This isnt a surprise.

Neither is the fact folks like Mohdoo think explicitly communist messaging is a "winner". Social democrats in Denmark don't talk like you. What you want is not Denmark. Then you have Zambrah making a fantastic argument analogous to "they asked for it" because they wore a small skirt. If you guys ever got hold of total power you'd not be much different than every other attempt at your political goals around the world. Im sure I'd be dead within a few months. Some gulag or guillotine no doubt.

holding up Youtube as a bastion of socialist ideals is silly beyond belief. Their content ID system is notoriously garbage and known for demonetizing things willy nilly. Thats what happens when the free market pursues an algorithm to do the work that should be done by human content reviewers.
EDIT: and YouTube demonetizing your video isn't censorship.

"Youtube video gets demonetized. >> Me getting guillotined or sent to the Gulag."
At least you are funny Wegandi.

Is this another time where people are supposed to not respond to dumb things you say, or do you actually think I would want you killed?

I wish I could see the world through Wegandi's eyes for a day, notions such as 'Youtube has a socialist agenda' are impossible to comprehend for me no matter how I try to look at it

It truly bothers me how much the left has internalized the fundamentally rightwing/capitalist idea that money should give you the power to control other peoples expression.
"Twitter/google/FB/TheCircle is a private company so them blocking your speech based on what makes them more money is not censorship, it's business" is such a fundamentally corporatist view of the world.
In my view large scale communication networks should be treated as public goods, and what can and cannot be communicated to large audiences in a democracy should be under democratic control. And with democratic I mean "1 person 1 vote", and definitely not "1 share 1 vote".

State controlled network ? How is that small gov ? Wouldn't the "radical left" love that ? Unless you're saying that the left shouldn't have internalized that and go after it ?

One can point out the fantastic irony of someone who believes money is speech complaining about a private company using money to control speech they like, without necessarily endorsing the fact that that's how it works.

I am having troubles with understanding what you think is problematic about this, from a liberterian standpoint. Do you think private domain should have less rights? Or that we need more regulations on private companies? To demand how firms are to run their business? Is it not within their right to choose which products or services to provide? Is that not something, you as a right-wing liberterian, should fight for?
Same problem I have with people who are all about the free market while being angry that companies are adjusting to the cancel-culture. Their adjustment is an effect of the free market. You can't be for one of them and against the other.

However, those are the laws as they are and company policy, which every user agrees to when signing up for the service, is what it is.
1 person 1 vote has been a lie since the inception of this country and continues to be to this day.

I mean, I think there are issues with FB/twitter/youtube whatever censoring. (I also think there are separate issues arising from either of these three not doing any censoring at all. I have not managed to figure out a way to solve both of these two widely different problems.)
That said, I think the 'this is socialist/communist repression of free speech' angle is really bad.
