EPTIt was funny being matched with so many other BSL7 participants in the final hours. Everyone was cramming in games trying to rank up.
With maybe an hour left I broke 2000. A few more wins would be enough at this point. It also wasn't clear at exactly what time the system would take my rating snapshot, so I kept playing past 8pm.
Unfortunately, I ended up placing 75th with 2021 points. After accounting for players with fewer than 20 games, I was sure I wouldn't make it.
But just two days ago, in the BSL discord channel, it was announced that there were not enough players in gosuleague and choboleague players would have to be bumped up. Being 6th in line (the initial cut off was 67th place and there were a few players with not enough games), I was able to sneak into gosuleague.
So the persistence paid off, but luck played a large part in it. I'll be mainly working on my ZvZ and ZvP for game day September 21.
