Dear SC2 fans on TL,
I am a PhD student majoring in sport management at Texas A&M University. I played esports since 2008. Being a loyal fan, I wish to increase the awareness of esports in sport industry. I am now working on a research to study why esports fans watch the matches.
You are invited to participate in this study voluntarily. This Qualtrics survey should take you around 10 minutes to complete. Your identity as a participant will remain anonymous during and after the study. There is no incentive to take the survey, but I still want to express my sincere gratitude here for your help and support. I can share the results here after the study finishes.
If you would like to participate, please click on the link below to our survey: https://tamucehd.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9Y6hXK8aYDffFTD
If you have any questions before, during or after the survey, please e-mail me directly. (boyutamu@gmail.com)
Thank you for your support! Let’s make SC2 a real sport!

Hmmpf, the income question was kinda... let's say I don't know precisely how do you measure it in US(taxes, no taxes) and I don't know the currency exchange rate to USD, so I took a wild guess. Sorry mate

I took it but I have the feeling I'm kind of an outlier in the e-sports fandom so I hope I don't skew the results.

I tried but I got an error:

Done. I would love to see the results please !

Hehe outlier here as well. But statistics will level it out.
2 points of attention: - There's a typo in the intro: "but know one will be able to identify you." <-- is probably not what you mean there - Annual income is not something that is easily comparable between different countries of residence
If you can leave a summarized conclusion in this thread after interpreting the data, I'd really appreciate that.

That's a good point. Especially if you also factor in spending power.

Hey, finally a survey that really takes as long as stated before
I hope you'll post the results. This will probably be quite interesting.
Just one not: I think it would be good to have a "prefer not to say" option for the ethnicity-question. To me it doesn't feel relevant.

That's a good point. Especially if you also factor in spending power. You win a $100k tournament in Poland. Pays 19% taxes =81k after tax (maximum tax in Poland). If you live in Poland, you have taken precautions for ~10 years.

Sorry mate but these kind of topics are not allowed on the TL general forum else we get flooded by them. Even so, good luck with your PhD and survey.
