Floyd Joy Mayweather Jr. 24 February 1977 (age 40) Pretty Boy, Money Height 5 ft 8 in (173 cm)
Conor Anthony McGregor 14 July 1988 (age 29) (The) Notorious, Mystic Mac Height 5 ft 9 in (175 cm)
Undercard: Gervonta Davis vs Francisco Fonseca Nathan Cleverly vs Badou Jack Andrew Tabiti vs Steve Cunningham Shawn Porter vs Thomas Dulorme Juan Heraldez vs Jose Miguel Borrego Kevin Newman vs Mark Anthony Hernandez Savannah Marshall vs Amy Coleman
As Paul Merson said last night; "This is like Roger Federrer playing a tennis match against a Squash player" Totally different sport, he has a punchers chance at best, he will have done the unthinkable if he manages to get 12 rounds in vs Mayweather! Mayweather made a career out of not getting hit, he is now 40 of course but i still can't see McGreggor troubling his defense and Mayweather is just going to land crisp timings on him and finish him within 4.
Tuning into the event more for; Nathan Cleverly vs Badou Jack Andrew Tabiti vs Steve Cunningham Shawn Porter vs Thomas Dulorme
These 3 undercard fights personally lol. Can't wait to see Badou Jack at Light Heavy vs the Welsh lion Cleverly, should be a great fight!
In the UK it's 100/1 - so it can't hurt to stick a tenner on McGregor I guess.
but in the end I agree. McGregor has a very slim chance of winning - but there is a chance.
I don't like the Tennis/Squash reference, because it's not that different. There is deffo more similarities between MMA/Boxing than between Tennis/Squash.

absolutely no chance in hell a bookie is offering 100 to 1 on mcgregor to win the fight, for what max limit? 1 cent? If they were you could make free money by arbritage for the max limit.
Wouldn't be surprised if this is fixed at least to some degree. The way they've done things so far so similarly to a WWE thing makes me feel this way even stronger. Whether a hard win for one side or fixed to last a certain # of rounds.
Some people say Mayweather wouldn't take a dive because he wants to remain the undefeated GOAT, but if it earns him a rematch (aka another 500 mill or w/e) then hmm maybe he takes the dive for that.
In a straight up boxing match with no funny business, no weird circumstances like him getting really sick right before the fight or something, of course Mayweather wins every time. But when betting I think you have to strongly consider the possibility of funny business in this one.
i wonder how many "accidental elbows" the referee will let McG get away with. i wonder how much McG is going to break the rules in an attempt to turn this into a brawl.

I feel like McGregor must beat Mayweather to submission. Otherwise if it goes the distance, boxing judges just might be biased enough to not let an MMA fighter win against an undefeated boxer. And it is very hard to pin Mayweather down. But it is boxing and one hit could make a difference.
Official weigh-in McGregor - 153 lbs Mayweather - 149.5 lbs

James Douglas was 43 to 1 against Mike Tyson
lol conor opened at 11 to 1 odds and has been bet down to 3.5 to 1
Ok Mayweather is in peak shape was surprised at that, huge training camp from him. Expecting this to be rather straight forward now! Good luck to McGreggor hitting him (legally)

i don't watch too much boxing, but have there been a lot of matches where there is a huge size difference and how do they go? the bigger guy is too slow? conor could have up to 20 lbs on floyd tmo
It's just a thing with Floyd, EVERY fight he makes sure he is weighting so light. He has fought two huge guys at 154 before in Saul Canelo and Miguel Cotto, this was Floyd in his peak. He weighted in at 151-150 for those fights vs two huge guys who can punch! This is because he wants to be small as possible so he can keep his speed and make sure he is comfortable moving as that is what he is all about. Countering or if he is vs a counter puncher (like Pacman) throwing feints making him go to counter when nothing there and come in over the top. McGreggor going to need to have spared excellent people or he is going to have no idea how to handle Mayweather without just running in gung ho and hoping Mayweather doen't counter on the way in.
So at 40 years of age, to get down to 149.5 is quite remarkable and proves he has put in a huge camp for this fight. He has Paulie also giving him all the dirt of McGreggor's camp too which i guess isn't so nice in the grand scheme of things BUT McGreggor was an absolute ASS to Paulie and probably deserves it for what they did to him. Paulie aint no great fighter, he was washed up 5 years ago and recently got retired by the a brummie lad by a normal body shot. He went into that camp genuinely to help McGreggor and Dana White and the UFC editing guys leaked videos of him xD
