Thanks for the LR topic. Predicting Light 3-1 with Larva taking the game on La Mancha.

Can someone who can edit liquidpedia fix this entry?
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/HoSic_BJ_Starleague_Season_2
ro16, Group C SkyHigh is marked down as 0-1 when it should be 0-2
Also, isn't there a rule where if two players faced eachother in the group stage, they wouldn't fight eachother in the bracket stage?
If so, technically light and larva shouldn't be playing because they were in the same group, but since larva was afk until his loser's match, he never actually got to play against light.

Where did you come across that rule? Just from what I saw on stream, it seemed Hosic already had the Ro8 matchups prepared by the Ro16 positions (e.g., Group A's #1 vs Group B's #2).

being flash/last's eternal punching bag should help larva's ZvT

That's usually how they do it in other starleagues, just recently in ASL in the group selection ceremony, they had to re-draw someone because they already played eachother.

Yeah, my money is on Larva this series. His losses against Flash/Last made him super good at ZvT.

If so, technically light and larva shouldn't be playing because they were in the same group, but since larva was afk until his loser's match, he never actually got to play against light. It was actually unavoidable that two people who advanced together from round 32 in the same group play each other in the ro8 if one of them gets 1st in his Ro16 Group and the other one 2nd. There was no draw at all. People were distributed into the Ro16 by their Ro32 place for example:
1st Group A gets seeded into Ro 16 Group A 2nd Group A gets seeded into Ro 16 Group B 1st Group B gets seeded into Ro16 Group B 2nd Group B gets seeded into Ro16 Group A and so on
The Ro8 Elim Bracket distribution looks like: 1st Group A vs 2nd Group B 1st Group C vs 2nd Group D 1st Group B vs 2nd Group A 1st Group D vs 2nd Group C
You see how people get seeded again against someone they already played? Technically if all the people who were in the same groups would have advanced to the Ro8 we would have 4 matchups we've already seen this season.
There are easy solutions to this like do A vs D and B vs C matchups instead of A vs B and C vs D. Or just simply draw the matches

Yeah, not sure if Larva spent a bit too much of his resources on queens in that first game. His army was pretty much only lings + queens.

Wow. So close to stopping the +1. Welp, he stopped the game at least.
