yea but so is the rest of the world using FREEDOM UNITS in referencing their own eye sight?

Probably not; I wonder how other countries' citizens describe their imperfect vision.

Same as you, with a scale going from 0/10 up to 10+/10 per eye (Monoyer scale in France), which corresponds to some complicated stuff. Basically, having 10/10 on one eye means that your eye can read a letter which is 7,25 mm high, 5 meters away from it (with perfect black on white contrast conditions ofc).

It's maybe a little funny, but even though my optometrist uses vision charts, I actually have no idea what my visual acuity level is with them. I've only ever had to refer to it in terms of dioptres when buying lenses or contacts (i.e. -2.25).
