Couple that with starting an hour earlier.. Man, I've been waking up at 3 a.m. for Korean Starcraft for like four years now. Stop making it even more difficult on me. D:

If SPL manages to to make all games good and fun to watch, maybe it'll get more hype and viewers in then end. Anyways, 2016 is a damn crucial year for sc2, I'm crossing my fingers.

Actually forget that I asked. Good games will be shown and the best possible effort will be put in I guess.

One of them was called NightMare and played Protoss but I can't remember the other one. No idea what happened to them. Samsung only with seven players. What about Guilty? Guilty isn't with Samsung any more He played teamless in the qualifiers

While an even number of teams is ideal for the format, having consistently high caliber games is far more important. Prime (and Startale R2) last season really lowered the bar and cheapened the experience of Proleague. While it would still be great if a quality 8th team could be added after R1, having seven competitive teams is better than before (although I have my doubts about Afreeca in light of Life, and MVP being able to stay close).

It's not like the SC2 scene is that healthy to support such a format. I mean, I'm really not salty inany way, but the quality of the games would decrease drastically if they turned to a Bo7 format.

He showed some potential in Hots and I hoped he might have a breakout year with LotV.

im just wondering what the rules are on this tournament or how i can find them, on the wiki page we have all the info about the results and machups but no info on how they are made (usually turnaments on the wikki have a format section explaining how the tournament will go). like i see during round robin each team plays another each week like in a football championship, but how are the maps and how players chosen for each match. also in the playoffs i see players winning and playing again, so like here its knock out system untill all players from the other team are eliminated. where can i find the info on all this? maybe a noob question but i really enjoy the matches of this league and would like to fully understand the format to better understand the plays. http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2016_Proleague many thanks

The teams are given the map order in advance and they decide who plays on what map. They don't know what the other team has decided. After both teams have sent in their line ups the match ups are made public. Yes, the playoffs have a different format. Winner stays on, first team to win 4 games wins.
