I don't know what's with the Rain hate. Yes, he might not play as flashy as Parting, but that's because he plays to win and understands the game better. There is beauty in his defence. There is depth in his builds and decisions. His dismantling of Maru in the last GSL was superb. He knows how to throw in the occasional cheese now more than before, which makes him even more solid all run and effective.
Watching Rain is like watching Germany win the last World Cup. Not as exciting and breath-taking as some of the South American teams, but they were efficient, well-balanced, worthy winners, and yes, a joy to watch.
(Yes, Germany decades ago used to play boring football - just like Rain did. But the new Germany is like the new Rain - solid from back to front.)
