The fact that his highest point is 375 says enough - invites and a lot of poor tournament runs...[/QUOTE\]
Uhh duh dude that's why hes the 16th seed

I'm a big fan of Jaedong, I really want him to succeed and win. I do believe that Jaedong can come into Blizzon in god mode and destroy. BUT I'm at least as much of a Bomber fanboy, what can I say Bombers play just mesmerizes me.
These two are my favorite players at Blizzcon and they meet first thing, I honestly don't know who to cheer for and feel really sad knowing one of them has to be knocked out. Jaedong goes into it coming from somewhat of a slump and Bomber comes into as the king, JDs chances look bleak. If Jaedong was up against any other player I would believe! But against Bomber i find it hard, I do try to but its hard.

Flash 25-24 Jaedong
Flash is overall the more accomplished player, holding 6 Starleague titles (only equaled by Nada) and the record ELO peak vs every race. That's not just TvsX, that's XvsX. Flash earned the nickname god in his prime, smashing both starleagues simultaneously whilst dominating proleague. I think it was something like 6 consecutive starleague finals (won 4).
That said I love JD too. He was the biggest rival for Flash and they were neck and neck in H2H. Really hope he can go deep in this tournament as I doubt there's anyone else who can bring as much hype.

Jaedong is probably the most hard working esports athlete in history. One just needs to look at his games from BW and SC2, he doesn't have any inherent talent. So when it's clear he has not practiced enough he just looks horribly bad and lost. There is nothing saving JD from a loss when he doesn't have had enough practice.
He has reached the top of SC2 in 2013 due to sheer practice. He should be the idol of every esports player

You old bastard JD Love how interconnected Flash/JD are on the graph.

Greatest zerg in the history of BW... mad respect for Jaedong.
i really wish he destroys everyone in 2015

I hope he can identify what is limiting his potential. Not an easy thing to do.

I hope so too. If, and only if, he leaves EG and goes back to Korea and has a Proleague/GSL practice regime again, I think he can still be the best. Fingers crossed!

Fantastic article! Thank you so much.
I have no doubt Jaedong will beat bomber. probably 3-1 or 3-0. n.Die_Jaedong fighting!

Harsh article!
JD deserves nothing but respect, what other SC legend transferred over? Flash? Nah!
Although he probably does not deserve to be in top 16, he definitely does not deserve such a biased article really trying to piss on his grave. Not cool TL, not cool.
JD is the Dong not the Kong!

Like last year, honesty is not the same as bashing

GO, GO, JAEDONG! NEVER SAY DIE!
Last Global Finals...no one thought you would make a decent placing, there was doubt at every turn, yet still you made it to the TOP, producing one of the best semis the game has ever seen!
GOOOOOOO!

I honestly think, all things considered, that was the best semi final ever. Jaedong winning against the odds, the score being 3:2, the way he won the last map and especially how he walked out to crowd and the way they reacted. What a perfect moment.
Edit: Damn I was talking about Jaedong vs Dear and that wasn't a semi but a quarter :D Well best quarter final ever then, Jaedong vs Maru was pretty sick too.

No greater champion than jaedong

"Devil" has sexuality as a keyword, so I don't see how Jaedong missed out on that one. Though "Death" fits him nicely too.
Last year, we had the Season 3 finals just before Blizzcon, and JD crashed out of that really fast. His first opponent at Blizzcon was Mvp, who he was generally expected to beat, but that's as far as he should've gone. Until it turned out that, against all odds, it was him who handed Dear his first offline Bo5+ series loss in an epic quarter final series, and then continued to beat Maru who was on fire himself.
His record this year is actually pretty comparable to last year, but seemingly only turning it up when playing tournaments without many WCS points. Still, he's been playing a little shaky ever since IEM Cologne at the start of the year, and it felt like he wasn't the JD who performed really well near the end of last year. But at the last Dreamhack, even though he lost to eventual champion Solar, JD was actually playing less shaky than he had in a while. Combine that with Bomber mentioning JD is "back in Tyrant form", and I'm convinced he shouldn't be underestimated.
He's been a progamer for almost a decade now, reaching around 20 premier finals along the way, and around 30 semi-finals. He definitely knows what it's like to be clutch, and I'm convinced he will give it his all for Blizzcon. Now, Bomber is a tough match-up for him stylistically, but given how long he has to prepare just for Bomber next weekend, I don't think he will just roll over and die, but we'll see. I like Bomber and wouldn't mind to see him continue on, but I'd love for JD to prove that him being here isn't a fluke. Let's see what happens!
