Big Head
I have been trying to lose weight since the beginning of this summer. That marks the end for my years long of playing no sport and doing no physical exercise.
Though the last time i did anything significantly to my body was back when i played basketball in grade 9 and some volunteer works in grade 10-11th, I did have a pretty solid fundamental due to some Vietnamese traditional martial arts training that i never forget. Plus i have always been watching what i eat so i was not in such terrible shape to begin with.
I went through several methods. First starting out with GOOGLING the methods... jezz this fitness industry is ludacris. So many magical pills, protein powders, fantastic diet... fuck them. I started out pretty simple, walking more to test out my leg bones, doing some abs crunches, bridge, plank, or whatever i recognized as I watched my mom did yoga as a kid. I also find some meta bar, around twice as heavy as a folding chair that i used to recover my hand strength.
I think i lost like 5lbs throughout the first 3 months and then proceed to gain back 15lbs by the end of the summer. I would like to think they are muscle weight as i definitely looks better but i know i have been slipping a bit during my diet. But not until a few days ago i found out the real problem...
My head is too damn big. It is damn big. I got it from my father side, him and his brothers and my grand father all have BIG heads. Now this wouldnt be so much of a trouble except im a fucking anti social person and dont go out much. Whenever i look into a mirror, i see an average size guy, decently shape but in reality, IM A BIG HEADED guy with a big body. As a result, whenever i start losing weight, I look like I was fucking starving. The sight of my ribcage make me subconsciously want to eat more to counteract.
And no, my diet is completely healthy as i used to live with a gym rat and asked advices from 2 Applied Health Science major. My roommate even left me a giant box with all sort of beans >.>. It just that when you see yourself look thin, you suddenly want a donut or a icecap. "Oh hey tonight is TI4 final, better buy all these chips and crackers". >.>
As of right now, Im not so sure what to do. Bought a pair of 15lbs dumbbell a few days ago so i guess i will keep on exercising. A girl i lived with during summer also left me a bike as she leaves the city so more cardiac options. Current goal right now is to lose ~20lbs... Motivation: boredom.

Gaming wise i have been doing fantastic. With the lack of gold or money to open all the wings on hearthstone, I decided to run a budget Druid deck where i just put all the taunts in. Got to rank 8 before the season end, feel good.
With the Druid inspiration, I decided to switch my DotA2 pick into treant protector and... HOLA.
Bitches be jelly.... But now im on 5200 mmr and Volvo started giving me noobs... I really wana pick core but im still in the final process of moving to a new house thus i cant. The struggle is real.
Probably gona start using a smurf soon to check where would they calibrate me. Meanwhile i do enjoy playing around with the silver CS:GO bracket :D. I really suck when it comes to precision games in general x(.

I also wondered where I will be calibrated. So I took the opportunity now that techies is out.
Going to take a while to get level 13 though since I keep ending up in LPQ when somebody else picks it faster than me.
I have never had weight problems, mostly since I don't' like any of the snacks that usually cause it. I do have elbow/shoulder problems from gaming though. So trying to increase the overall strength in that area. Started doing push ups recently (seems I was at 20 at the start, think I'll increase it to 3x20) on top of some dumbbell suff for the elbows.

Denial alert. You want to lose weigh because you're bored. Losing weight with visible rib cage? Your diet is fine yet your weight isn't? Those two are mutually exclusive. As useless as it is to say to people before they've matured: Deal with your real issues instead of distracting yourself from them. Google these things instead: Boredom (purpose), Anti social (confidence/self worth).

wow. Lucky we have a real psychologist/philosopher/all-around genius here who can tell by this little piece of text all about the REAL problems someone has. Thanks for sharing your great insight. So fine diet and not-fine weight are mutually exclusive. I guess we are lucky to have a doctor in you as well. So cool, I'm really hyped!

So, what is your IQ? 20 or so?
fine diet and not losing weight IS mutal exclusive. It's a simple math equation. Calorie intake vs calorie burning. If you have a diet of 1700 calories, and you burn 2000 then you lose weight. It's as simple as that. So if you have a diet of 1700 and you only burn 1600, then you don't have a "fine diet".
And it's not hard to see in that small bit of text that OP is struggling with self esteem issues. So instead of focusing only a thing that OP doesn't see as working, working on social aspects and self esteem will result in a better life

"Fine diet" and not losing weight is indeed possible. I don't know what this has to do with my IQ, but getting personal is always easy, I guess. There are drugs/tumors that make you gain health. you could eat less but that wouldn't reduce ur fat but other more important parts of your body, like degrade proteins for generating energy. There are diseases/genetic disorders that force you into a diet, that doesn't allow you to loose weight. It's not like these people can just eat less and loose weight. They will have severe problems when doing that. And since you don't know the OP, you can't just assume that he is not affected by anything interfering with his metabolism in any way. And as I said I am really thankful that we have good ol' armchair psychologists who can tell a persons personality (and IQ) by reading a single small text.

What are your goals NB ? Do you want to lose weight while gaining muscles? If it's that, you should go to a gym and ask a trainer 'what do'. Good luck on your journey, but I can assure you if you find yourself more attractive you'll lose some social awkwardness if boredom is your sole motivation, just find yourself a sport or a martial art, funnier and you'll get the same results
