China became the first country outside Korea to win a spot in the WCS America Ro16, with ZOO.TooDming able to finish in second place in Group F. AX.Alicia, a semifinalist from the previous season, claimed the first place spot in the group and became the 11th Korean pro to qualify for the Ro16.
Unforunately for North American fans, ROOT.Illusion and coL.hendralisk were knocked back down into Challenger League. Only Suppy (Group H) and MajOr (Group G) remain to represent the tournament's titular continent in the Ro32.
Next game day - Group G: Polt, Courage, MacSed, MajOr
Players qualified for Ro16: Pigbaby, Oz, Alicia Revival, NesTea, viOLet, Check, HyuN, TooDming Bomber, TaeJa, Heart

gj TooDming, I hope he will do good in Ro16!

Was hoping that Illusion would advance, but it looks like a Terran will advance today.

I'm pretty sure Blizzard pays for player's flight and accomodations.

Confirmed. This is a new thing in 2014, Blizzard pays up to a certain amount for flights. It was the absolute best decision they made with 2014 WCS and is a huge weight off teams shoulders.

Wierd, i've heard that WCS hurted eSports, Blizzard didn't care about anyone and SC2 was dead, huh....

Blizzard consulted with team owners a great deal prior to WCS 2014, they absolutely do care and made quite a few changes that team owners asked for this time around. What they are stubborn on is things like region lock but frankly it's too late to change that now anyway without disenfranchising a lot of players.

That Toodming with his 5 base before 12 minute play >.< It is a shame that he did not punished Alicia.... But those games were awesome

I think I have a 100% vote record on WCS AM :o this group was ofc very easy to predict tough ...

Toodming almost got Alicia too and could've been the first one out. He was like 60 supplies ahead with a much more mobile army. I think if he went for base trade on that final map, Alicia's chances of winning wouldn't be too good.

Toodming has a very interesting playstyle. He definately could've gotten alicia, that's for sure. Not sure how far he can go but I'm interested in seeing what he prepares for the ro16.
