"Hey guys!
We at TaKeTV have great news for you! After due consideration we decided to make another step towards Hearthstone - and away from SC2. Thus we are going to change some of our big events and show more Hearthstone than Starcraft 2. Our second step will take us then from Hearthstone to League of Legends.
Many of you will be suprised by this news. You will think that TaKeTV is a constantly growing Starcraft Community, why would we drop this game already? Unfortunately the numbers speak for themselves. At our last Event, the SeatStory Cup, we've already implemented Hearthstone. It so happened that the viewer numbers for Hearthstone were on average up to 162% higher than the ones of Starcraft 2. Furthermore the highest peek during a SC2 game (Grand final game 2) was smaller by 95% than the highest peek of Hearthstone (Losers Round 3, Artosis vs Trump). Those number clearly showed us where we are supposed to go: Move on to pastures new, away from Starcraft 2, to Hearthstone!
Mats "P4wnyhof" Kathage
So what will change now? To begin with TakeTV hired some new employees. At the SeatStory Cup Dennis got to know Mats "P4wnyhof" Kathage. Mats is a German Hearthstone streamer and ex- LoL player (Diamond I) who will work at TakeTV beginning today. Already tomorrow he will stream from the TakeTV apartement. [...]
Kai "Noonia" Gade
Kai "Noonia" Gade is our second new signing, who will start at the 5th of April. Kai is an ex-WoW and LoL professional. He qualified with his team Lemondogs for the third season of LCS. Previously he has played for other teams like SK Gaming.
After dropping out of LCS Noonia wants to dedicate himself to casting. And the premier place to go for German caster is just TakeTV! So TakeTV did not just find a cocaster for Hearthstone but also a caster to broadcast LCS in German!
In the future not only Hearthstone will be our main game, but we will add LoL to our roster. [...]
The new Homestory Cup!
But that's not all! We are proudly presenting our new concept for the HomeStory Cup! Instead of 32 Starcraft players we will have 32 Hearthstone player on-site who will go against each other at this event!
Because Hearthstone is a much slower game than Starcraft, players will have more time inbetween games. That means an even more relaxed atmosphere than you already know from TaKeTV and a lot of new personalities! We hope that you are just as excited as we are about this event!
Hearthstone Invite tournament
As a testrun for the new HomeStory Cup we will host a small invite tournament, which we will arrange on the easter weekend. Friday to Sunday we will have 8 Hearthstone players in Krefeld to play a really cool invite tournament at TaKeTV! Further information will be provided shortly.
