This is really cool news. This has been the most enjoyable & fun teamleague out of all the ones I've ever played in, not to mention great competition between top teams!

It's a melancholy kind of comedy that iG and Empire have been re-invited because WW and Quantic are no more. This season should be particularly interesting, as the rosters of Complexity, TL, and Mouz have made very noteworthy changes since the last ATC. Best of luck to all involved, and let's not have the same rule confusion as last time that got Liquid in over Mousesports.

I think those are all the teams that didn't get eliminated last season o.o Empire also has too few to play atm Yeah, I think the announcement needs rewording to say "these teams have been invited" (which we actually haven't yet, officially as far as I know) or "these teams are eligible". Saying anything else is not true yet. Again I'm sure this will all be sorted out but it reflects poorly on teams if they are perceived as "pulling out" of an event they hadn't agreed to yet in the first place. Basically Axiom participation is reliant on travel compensation agreements for the finals since flying an entire team from Korea is very expensive and not something we can afford to do without adequate travel support. To be fair, you did post in the SSC thread that this ATC was yours (Axiom's). Of course, it doesn't make it official but if TakeTV did jump the gun, you did as well. Fun trashtalk should not be regarded or punished like this. Nobody in their right mind would take that as a commitment. What he said. Sorry, maybe the tone of my post came out wrong. Of course, the post in SSC is not a commitment of any sorts. I guess what I am trying to say is the wording on the TakeTV post is not a big issue. Yes, technically the wording can be misleading but I am sure that if you do withdraw within reasonable time frame due to whatever circumstance, people would understanding. It is usually the last minute pull outs that gets the hate. Anyways, hope that their travel compensation is good so Axiom can join. It is in fact a big issue since it is an official announcement post and not a casual off-hand reference. And no, people wouldn't be understanding. They were certainly not understanding last time, caused my wife to retire and basically killed her interest in Starcraft permanently, when our "crime" was to merely prove the miscommunication regarding travel compensation. You are going to have to forgive me if I don't trust the community anymore when it comes to ATC.
Not to the stir pot you can't help but bring up. But that is not at all what happened.

I dont like allkill format, I like to see what proleague does. Well we see here from TB, Nazgul and Kaeru that a merc isn't great for the team and allkill can do like a merc.

I hope EG and ROOT can make it!

I think all-kill is better for ATC. and for sure makes it more exciting

thats a better foreigner proleague!

@TB: I don't know why u want to participate another time if you still blame Take for what happened. And from what I read (i think everything, that was published) I think, that Axioms management played a big role, that things went like they did. Especially you mention the business-page of esport so often... I don't think your behaviour was close to be professional, neither was that of other parts of your management. I don't want to say, that Take did everything right in my opinion, but do not shuttle everything off on him please and ask yourself if you cold have prevent the situation.
Btw. I think this will be a great Teamleague! Nice to see foreign Teams battle again. But sad to see, that the foreign players do less and less the difference. I would like to have a quote, like in some sports. But i know it is very difficult to implement in a fair way.
(sorry for my bad english, hope it is understandable)

I'm in agreement with everyone about ending the merc rule, but I think it'd be funny if someone hired Revival/Oz/Alive to beat EG.

Please enough with the negativity? When official announcements are made then they are made.
Teamstory Cup is awesome and I want to see more events like it, not less. And especially not because of some bullshit "e-sports drama." E-sports struggle enough as is. Do we really need fucking drama? Can we let the NFL and EPL take care of the drama and just focus on playing some video games please?
I really hope TL and Axiom will play (and excited to see how new recruits do).
EDIT - and yes I've never understood the Merc rule.... I understand if it's a long term player on loan kind of thing (HerO in Proleague with IM) but bringing in.. say.. PartinG.. for a weekend to kill everyone (especially in a fun, laid back tournament like homestory cup) is pretty shitty.

This will be great again!
I hope that mYi will qualify this time, and that Mouz finally makes it to the playoffs!

Personally, just as someone with no rooting interests in a specific team, I enjoy the merc rule as it lets us see a wider variety of players.
Getting all-killed by a merc might be the worst feeling in the world for a team and its competitors, but as a viewer all-kills are FUN

Aw yeah iG! Hopefully they'll do better this season.

We need EU and AM Proleague so the teams have the place to battle. I think the lack of teamleagues is a very bad thing for SC2 to develop in EU and AM.

Getting all-killed by a merc might be the worst feeling in the world for a team and its competitors, but as a viewer all-kills are FUN I agree that it really allows players we normally wouldnt see into the spotlight, but since its a team competition wouldnt it be better for teams to let their lesser known team members have a go? I could probably word that better but I feel like there are lots of interesting players in these rosters without having to bring in someone else, and removing the joker rule might assist with that. Taketv did a great job at the finals showcasing players as individuals and as a team as well.
Also, yeah it sucks when a merc busts your gut.
