Myi never played ATC before They played, and lost, in the qualifiers last season actually. Got destroyed by Check. Fixed that for you On a separate note I'd love to see the merc rule removed this time around. I don't honestly think that mercs have any place in team leagues, especially all-kill which are so susceptible to star-player stompings. It doesn't reward having a deep wellrounded roster, it rewards picking up the strongest ringer you can find. Imho, you either do a full partnership with another team or you play alone, you don't just cherry-pick a really strong player. We saw what happened to WW when they couldn't bring San, they got wrecked in the finals. I agree and we purposely never picked up a merc despite often being short on players last season. So you deny hiring Pirate- and Mustacheterran? Both of those guys are on the payroll. Hahaha :-)

Excellent, love this tourney.

Haha
Liquid has been to the playoffs twice, and they've been all killed 3 times.
Acer is clearly the team to beat, not Liquid.

I hope Empire cancels (due to lack of players) and is replaced by mYi, then EG and ROOT qualify.

Well EG has even less active players than Empire.

If Breaker casts this in English, TaKe is pretty dumb..

I really hope the map pool updates as the tournament progresses. The last two times we were left with maps that weren't used in ladder or tournaments, those games were extremely boring and rudimentary.

Exactly. Or mb even score > H2H > tiebreaker match (it's a team league, so win's-a-win, no matter what the map diff)

I really like Empire, but see no point in inviting them and Invictus again. After their very poor performance last season (2-7 and 1-6 scores respectively) these two teams obviously need to go through qualifiers as the rest. And it would allow to have 4 qualifier spots instead of just two. We would then have the opportunity to see teams like EG, MYI, Root, Vega or Fnatic.
