INTERVIEWS
flyingjelly Interview
+ Show Spoiler +
SynC: Hi flyingjelly! How prepared are you for the finals?
flyingjelly: Zero preparation so far, but I'm gonna play today and tomorrow a lot hopefully
SynC: Ahh, that's good to hear. I'd hate for you to have to play in the finals completely unprepared... How do you feel about Radley as your last opponent? Do you think he's worthy enough of being a finalist?
flyingjelly: I feel fine about it. I didn't get to see all of his games and he only played 1 tvz all tournament but I'm sure he's worthy. I've just noticed throughout CRTL and Crimson he's pretty fond of unorthodox builds.
SynC: How do you think your ZvT with matchup against his TvZ? Your ZvT against puppykiller surprised me with your creativity and execution, taking out a very strong Terran opponent
flyingjelly: Honestly, over time I've felt more comfortable in TvZ than any matchup. But I can't really say how we match up considering I haven't seen him TvZ much. I'm guessing he'll just 8 rax and be like "lol hope he doesnt scout it"
SynC: I agree he has a tendency to go for some funky builds. What do you think will be your best option in countering his possible cheeses?
flyingjelly: Maybe watch some Bakuryu vods as Baku is a very safe player. He can show me how to scout every possible proxy location.
SynC: Are you confident that you can take the series against your Polish foe? What do you think the final score will read?
flyingjelly: As long as I can find some good ZvT games in the next couple days I'm pretty sure it wil be 4-0 for me.
SynC: Any plans on participating in the next season of Crimson? jacklinks, the last champion, decided against playing to take a break and give others a chance in the spotlight.
flyingjelly: I'll probably play Crimson 3 and continue playing other events you organize because they are pretty fun, but just play less ladder.
SynC: Ahh, I guess playing 300 games on ladder can be somewhat tiring ;D Any last words you have to the fans and viewers?
flyingjelly: Haha yeah, I got pretty close to LancerX level of laddering this season. I'd just say to viewers tune into the finals it should be a lot of fun to watch USA prevail over Poland. Also thanks to everyone who helped me practice throughout the tournament: Castle, Landowner, puppykiller, and Sero.
SynC: Any words you would want to say to Radley before the finals?
flyingjelly: Good luck
SynC: Alright, short and simple. Thanks for the time and the interview!
flyingjelly: No problem, thanks very much for organizing it's been fun

Radley interview
+ Show Spoiler +
SynC: Hi Radley! I'll be asking similar questions I asked flyingjelly. How prepared do you feel for the finals against flyingjelly?
Radley: To be honest, I don't feel really confident before this match. During last weeks i hadn't enough time to practice starcraft as much as i would like to. But still, my TvZ was always best matchup in term of creativity and has some potential space for my micro management skills. Of course, I'll do my best to show good games and prevent any viewer during stream from regreting watching them
SynC: That's good to hear, even though you don't feel confident, you're willing to put on a show for the viewers! How do you see flyingjelly as an opponent? Do you think he is good enough to take the championship from you?
Radley: I had play couple of games against flyingjelly in the past, but i don't remember if any of them was in any tournament. All i remember was that those games were usually long, so for sure he is very good player, who doesn't make simple mistakes during early stages of game. I don't know exactly what style he is prefering, so the match is big unknown for me. I'll try to play safe and see what happens, modyfying my own gameplay in order to counter his strategies. But, strict answer - yes, he is most likely better player for today and has really big chance to become champion.
SynC: You said you feel as your TvZ was your strongest matchup. How would you rate flyingjelly ZvT's compared to his ZvZ and ZvP? Have you watched any of his games in the tournament so far?
Radley: Well, to be honest, I hadn't time for doing so. I just passed my final University work day ago and earned some leisure time. Today I spent it in different way, but after taking some sleep, I'll still have couple of hours before final match and I'll try to make up for watching replays from tournament. After watching some games on stream, I can only say he is really strong in ZvP (i hadn't watched hiz ZvT games), and in some way mechanics are similar to those against terran, so I can worry about playing against him.
SynC: So after it's all said and done, what do you think the final score will read once the championship has been played?
Radley: I hope it'll be full Bo7 with super long games, so I'll bet at score 4-3 for flyingjelly
SnyC: Nice, but be sure to stay confident! Any last words to the viewers?
Radley: Well I would to like to shout out to Netwars (NW POWER!) and Teamliquid community. I would like also to thank you for spending your free time on organizing this and other tournaments. Also, I would like to shout out to mca64, for his contribution into starcraft community and continous upgrading his launcher. And last but not least - I would like to say 'good game, have fun and good luck' to flyingjelly. In this particular order - because most important should be showing good games to our fellows, then having our own fun from playing this legendary game, and at the end good luck, because luck is this final, small piece, which every, even best, player needs to achieve everything he wants.
SynC: Ahh, thanks for the answers, thanks for the interview! Good luck later on in the finals! :D

FOOTNOTE
To cap it all off, thank you to all the players for making this season worth it. Regardless of the quality of the games or any sort of player controversy, thank you all for taking part in these games. I know, as an admin and organizer, I might not have been the most fair or the most orderly, but I tried my best to accommodate to all of the players and to make the league as interesting as it is for the players and the viewers.
Thank you to all the viewers for watching any of the casts. I know at one point, puppykiller casted 2 Round-of-16 groups and he peaked at around 75 viewers at one point, which to a stream on Teamliquid is usually no big deal, but for a stream that's casting Brood War, and not exactly super high level at that, meant a lot to me. Thank you for everyone to taking the time out to watch the amazing game of Brood War.
Congratulations to everyone who made it to the finals in flyingjelly and Radley, and also congratulations to castle[eMg] and Plus for making it all the way to the Semi-Finals. Also, a shoutout and honorable mentions to those who voluntarily donated into the prize pool in Ever)P(TelecoM, flyingjelly, and Fanatacist.
I won't be hosting another season of the Crimson Starleague until around late May/early July because I realized that I was preoccupying myself too much with Brood War and Teamliquid, and as great of a game it is, I still have my own obligations and studies. Again, thank you to all the players, viewers, and donors for making this all the worthwhile!
