XMG started its own SC2 division in 2012 with just XlorD on the roster. After some time we began to expand the roster and things have changed quite a bit since then. There will be some more changes in 2014, so Here is a small post about the past , not so much about the present, and some about the future

XlorD
We hired him when he freshly was back to competetive SC2, willing to commit for a year of progaming again. He was performing really bad :D, but we took him in nevertheless. After some time he matched ours and his own expectations and we had an awesome run together, peaking in 3rd place at HomeStoyCup VI and a 2nd place at the EPS germany. He is and always will be one of the most entertaining progamers in eSport history and we feel honoured that he was part of our team.

After some good achievements XlorD decided to study (economics, he is doing pretty well so far) and promised a return to the progaming scene under the XMG tag for Warcraft IV
monchi
We did add monchi shortly after we noticed that he is up for grabs. Already convinced from his talent in former matches, it was a decision easily made and he would not disappoint us. A win in the EPS Winter Finals 2012 and a spectacular 3rd/4th place at Dreamhack Winter 2012 (highest placed foreigner alongside Acer.Nerchio ) made him nothing but a big positive suprise for everybody in the community.
He also became really good friends with XlorD (as u can witness in the "Show Spoiler" part) and made my job an easy one to enjoy.
His accident early this year (monchi with serious health issues) made it hard for him to continue to play Starcraft II as he used to be. After we tried to bring him back to competitive Starcraft for Dreamhack Bucharest 2013 (Dreamhack Bucharest 2013), he noticed problems again in his arm and we finally had to agree that it would be better for him to quit Starcraft II and rest his arm for the time being.
This is the "official" retirement message for monchi as he will not return to competitive Starcraft II, but also decided to study (chemistry) and enjoys his life to the fulliest

XMG Present players and future plans!:
Salt is a really talented player and remains a valueable asset within XMG. He showed some good results on his first international tournaments and we saw a good progress in 2013. We renewed his contract and are looking foward to some more suprising results in the upcoming year
ToD
He has been an amazing asset to our roster. It is as simple as that. He performed well (WCS Premier several times, french LAN victories) and did superb as a caster too on multiple events. ToD also did run the XMG Balance Map Test Tour and it was a huge success. More to come in the future.
We renewed his contract and he will be part of XMG.SC2 in 2014!
MaddeLisk
At Dreamhack Winter 2013 we announced also a personal sponsorship with MaddeLisk (she will stay with her awesome teammates in Millenium) So expect quite some XMG coverage with her aswell
If you missed the announcement, open the Spoiler.
