Hey there,
XMG started its own SC2 division in 2012 with just XlorD on the roster. After some time we began to expand the roster and things have changed quite a bit since then. There will be some more changes in 2014, so Here is a small post about the past , not so much about the present, and some about the future
XMG - Former players:

We hired him when he freshly was back to competetive SC2, willing to commit for a year of progaming again. He was performing really bad :D, but we took him in nevertheless. After some time he matched ours and his own expectations and we had an awesome run together, peaking in 3rd place at HomeStoyCup VI and a 2nd place at the EPS germany. He is and always will be one of the most entertaining progamers in eSport history and we feel honoured that he was part of our team.

After some good achievements XlorD decided to study (economics, he is doing pretty well so far) and promised a return to the progaming scene under the XMG tag for Warcraft IV
monchi
We did add monchi shortly after we noticed that he is up for grabs. Already convinced from his talent in former matches, it was a decision easily made and he would not disappoint us. A win in the EPS Winter Finals 2012 and a spectacular 3rd/4th place at Dreamhack Winter 2012 (highest placed foreigner alongside Acer.Nerchio ) made him nothing but a big positive suprise for everybody in the community. He also became really good friends with XlorD (as u can witness in the "Show Spoiler" part) and made my job an easy one to enjoy.
His accident early this year (monchi with serious health issues) made it hard for him to continue to play Starcraft II as he used to be. After we tried to bring him back to competitive Starcraft for Dreamhack Bucharest 2013 (Dreamhack Bucharest 2013), he noticed problems again in his arm and we finally had to agree that it would be better for him to quit Starcraft II and rest his arm for the time being. This is the "official" retirement message for monchi as he will not return to competitive Starcraft II, but also decided to study (chemistry) and enjoys his life to the fulliest

Salt is a really talented player and remains a valueable asset within XMG. He showed some good results on his first international tournaments and we saw a good progress in 2013. We renewed his contract and are looking foward to some more suprising results in the upcoming year
ToD ![[image loading]](https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/69010_526947367358858_1023291360_n.jpg)
He has been an amazing asset to our roster. It is as simple as that. He performed well (WCS Premier several times, french LAN victories) and did superb as a caster too on multiple events. ToD also did run the XMG Balance Map Test Tour and it was a huge success. More to come in the future.
We renewed his contract and he will be part of XMG.SC2 in 2014!
MaddeLisk ![[image loading]](https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/1456738_566739556727608_695481627_n.jpg)
At Dreamhack Winter 2013 we announced also a personal sponsorship with MaddeLisk (she will stay with her awesome teammates in Millenium) So expect quite some XMG coverage with her aswell
If you missed the announcement, open the Spoiler.

Big things are rising for XMG.SC2 and we will keep you posted about any move we do.

Hmm, good guess.
I was trying to think who it could be as well. Rotterdam and Day9 are the two that came to my mind at first.
Are there any well known German casters / personalities? And as I was typing this it comes to mind that it could be Khaldor! It must be!
|
Losira/Revival/Oz/Alive or some random foreigner (sorry I barely know any), but I bet at least one of the players is one of the currently teamless Koreans. Personality should be Idra imo.

Why is every1 who was and is on this team so handsome
|
|
monchi forever the best <3

If they don't take a terran, it's racism.

MaNa, you heard it first.

Good for Xlord. Better to wait for WC4 than to play SC2
|
1 well known player? wow, can we guess it could possibly sen, losira, alive, oz, revival or strelok?

Stephano. He has started playinh again so why not join a team
|
I would buy so much more from XMG if they signed Losira. Soooooooo much.
|
I guess WhiteRa can be considered to be a role model. No other name pops up in my nut.
|
Sad to hear that Monchi won't make it back. gl & hf with chemistry and don't blow up the teachers' staff room if you get unsatisfactory scores on your exams. Trust me, they will figure our who done it.
|
It´s pretter obvious from the siluette that the personality guy is Khaldor
|
The team had some of the most fun and talented guys in europe and I really enjoy XMG's content. Good luck monchi and I'm excited for 2014 .
Let's hope WC4 comes out before XlorD hits 40 .
|
|
Maybe XMG could provide a ROI calculation like Ting did? :D
Anyway I love what you are doing for the scene!

So that's why he was at TaKe's house and casted the ATC finals? Yeah, that would make sense (not that it didn't if not, but you get it).

still signed by EG who are sponsored by XMG stephano
|

Would be great to see someone like Pandatank, Pig or Moonglade to get a sponsorship with XMG.
Thankfully Xlord isn't part of this scene anymore.
|
wow... will miss both players! bye and gl!!!

Doubtful, read somewhere that Sen wanted to stay involved with TeSL. I assume he's going to sign with another Taiwanese team, however, we all know that the entire foreign scene wants to see him join a foreign team.

Maybe one of the former Empire guys?
|
really cool to see XMG post something like this! wish more teams or sponsors did it! Through this, and your presence at HSC, you show true passion for SC2!
Will be interesting to see who XMG might pick up for 2014, maybe Showtime, Welmu or HappyZerg.

Well Khaldor wouldt be kinda similar to Kane from the Brotherhood of Nod, I guess. :D Thaks to monchi and XlorD for their entertainment, and good luck to both of them! Excited to see, what XMG has prepared for us! =)

The one you are missing from Player Two is the icon from the Klingons in Star Trek as far as I recall.
Not sure what any of this means though lol :D

Kangho or genius Please !

XMG.Dayshi - why else would they pick a picture of ToD with him in it?
(He could still stay on Millenium with XMG sponsorship deal like the one announced for MaddeLisk.)
XMG.Khaldor - non player SC2 rolemodel.
(With GSL schedule being more streamlined and reduced to only 3 seasons - GOM eXP does not need two English-speaking teams. Wolf's already gone to ProLeague and now Khaldor looks to be taking off for Europe...?)
Btw, can someone tell me who is this dude they paired up with Wolf for ProLeague? Nothing against the guy - it's too early to judge his SC2 knowledge - but does anyone else find his hissing / lispy way of speaking really annoying / hard to listen to?

Now that I know that le 1st player is protoss, I'm even more certain that this is MaNa.

thanks for your support to the community, we really appreciate it!

Heh. Sorry my American culture made me ignorant of what XMG is. XMG sells laptops?
|
Are they picking up Soul players ? Who else is in there now that Dear and Trap are gone ? I can't remember
@Spec yes they do
|
I don't quite know WHY this XMG post makes me warm and fuzzy inside.
Is it because they sponsor awesome people and homestory cup? Or maybe the mix of good looking / dorky pics? Even the retirements somehow sound like... FUN =)
Good job, XMG. I don't think I need a gaming laptop but if I happened to find the money for one I'd buy one from you all the same.
|
thx for the awesome feedback - We are really excited to finally release all the news soonish

Well with mouz getting Dear, I don't know what to expect from XMG.

They'll kick Lucifron and MaNa, the last one going to XMG. 99% sure.
