And Rain and First, the two players I'm rooting most for, in the same group, yikes. I hope at least Rain makes it (and takes the season, P representin').

Qualifying for the WCS season finals is an afterthought compared to becoming an OSL champion. I have to think most people that actually watch WCS Korea feel the same way (that GSL / OSL is more important than WCS). The result of a random draw. TBH I disagree. I still feel that both the GSL and now the OSL have been a better tournament than WCS Europe and Americas, especially when it comes to the quality of games and (in the case of GSL) the quality of the finals. I refer to it as "fakeGSL" or "fGSL", sometimes also as "wannabe GSL" or "that Bo1 thing". j/k, I'm really glad that Rain made it, and hope he takes the whole season. I mean, in a sense he is the defending champion...kinda.

Next I expect semifinals before quarterfinals. This format should lead to better games than the other format. Players have more time to prepare, and with fewer games to prepare for at any single time, they will be better prepared for the specific maps played.

From what I've seen so far, the better player (mechanics wise at least) tends to win. If bat TvT isn't as volatile as some people suggest then Group A is probably more of a Group of Death. I don't care about volatility. It's pain to watch. Compared to tactical siege tank-based play TvT with eventual air switch this is just random BS all over the place.

You know I could make a case for many things in the game, but I rather try to enjoy it than bitch about it. It's a funny thing because if you read most interviews with the guys who are near the top. They say the same thing. They don't think about it that much, they just do it.
