the chinese sktelecom t1 player pj will be returning to china after 1 year and 6 months of being foregin progamer.
pj ended his progaming career at the blizzard's World Wide Invitational sc tournament quater finals on may 19th, 2007. he went back to bejing, china on 21st at 9:30 in the morning.
born in joong kyong, china, pj was known as the best player in china, but his performaces in korea didn't turn out so well. he never had the experience to qualify in individual leagues, and he also never got to play in proleague. LX, who previously joined the team with pj in 2005, had played in proleague, and he also placed 4th at wcg2006 grand final. it shows some what big difference between pj and lx.
it seems like pj has ended his progamer life in korea because he wants to play for tournaments in china. recently, starcraft is becoming popular and gaining publicity again, because there are leagues such as PGL. in addition, the fact LX, who has already returned to china on last february, is performing well might have had impact on pj's decision.
sktelecom coach Joo Hoon says, "i wanted to give pj a chance to play in proleague, but his decision to go back to china makes me sad." and "i wish him the best luck in china with his experience of hard korean lifestyle."

Currently 0 foreigner progamers with Testie, sen, mondragon all saying "no." Kinda sad. Lx had the best oppurtunity to do well imo, maybe draco.

I dont see why its sad at all. It was more sad and depressing to me to think of the dude over there just playing Starcraft and having absolutely nothing to show for it.
|
He stuck with it for a long long time. And I think he's gotten better.
Let's just hope he can use his experiences in Korea to succeed in the Chinese leagues.

heh yeah wtf he says he wants to give him a chance but... wtf

To be honest i doubt foreigners are going to be able to do anything big in Korea with SC, hopefully that will change with the coming of SC2.
Best of luck to PJ back in China!

Sounds like Pj has finished his overseas studying course :D. GL

"i wanted to give pj a chance to play in proleague, but his decision to go back to china makes me sad." lmao gimme a break. he joined the team 2 years ago. it was clearly a PR move to have him on the team.. lame that he has to lie about wanting to give him a chance =/
|
Best of luck Pj. Pretty sad... but he'll kick ass in china.
|
sigh. every time one of them stop playing it makes me sad that sc may die 1 day (gasp)
