that no name fb also said Troy Polameau was there too and knows here, and then shortly after retracted it. So he's every bit as reliable as Te'o
and yeah i agree with the jibster. That twitter chatter between those people is odd. i mean just logically, why would you publically tweet about it if you're trying to conceal it?
I think whether or not he knew from the start is in doubt, but at his point it seems pretty clear that he was lying for his own benefit throughout this whole season

So there is this SI interview transcript from October.... I'm sorry, but if anyone believes that Teo's version is the truth they are looking through rose colored glasses. Best case Teo is a liar who duped and exaggerated his relationship for sympathy on his Heisman campaign, worst case he was in on this the whole time.

yeah there is way too many levels of bs here to believe that he didn't realize. absolutely no way

I think the only thing that almost saves him here is if he's gay.

An Associated Press review of news coverage found that the Heisman Trophy runner-up talked about his doomed love in a Web interview on Dec. 8 and again in a newspaper interview published Dec. 11. He and the university said Wednesday that he learned on Dec. 6 that it was all a hoax, that not only wasn't she dead, she wasn't real.
Bwahahaha, the story practically writes itself.

We'll know exactly what happened if someone gets a hold of the phone bills. There's always a paper trail. So here are the possible scenarios:
a. He frequently called a specific phone number for around 8 hours at a time up until his girlfriend's death --> Te'o wasn't lying. He was duped and is a huge moron. Also the phone number he called should reveal exactly who hoaxed him.
b. The phone bill reveals that he didn't call anyone overnight --> Te'o was lying. He probably did it for both the publicity to influence Heisman voters and to cover up that he's gay. And he's still a huge moron for thinking that no one would notice that his girlfriend doesn't exist in a highly publicized, nationwide story that he made up.
c. The phone bill reveals that he did call someone for a length of time overnight, but abruptly stopped calling that number after a certain date before her death --> Te'o was pranked by a friend, but later decided to carry on the lie in an attempt to save face and use it as a convenient excuse to hide that he's gay. Even though this scenario might put him in a slightly better light than scenario B since he didn't come up with the stupid idea, he still lies about his girlfriend's death to manipulate Heisman voters and be an attention whore in the end. He is still a huge moron for the same reason as scenario B.
Either way, this guy is like a blackhole of stupid.

I think scenario A would actually be better for him. That way, he's only guilty of being a complete moron, and not a pathological liar.

if he is in the closest, coming out isn't going to help his football career. best for him to stay quite until the people known to be behind it say something.

They should interview an empty chair to represent his gf like that guy on MSNBC did after Zimmerman's lawyer refused to be on the show or whatever. It would be great. Best TV ratings since The Decision.

I can only imagine all the phantom calls he will get in the NFL.

I literally lold like 3 times just listening to Jeremy Schap talk about it. Going on about "her" hiding from drug dealers and shit. I love this story so much.

I wish South Park had a season going on right now. This could literally make the funniest episode of all time. Just so much to work with

I don't get it, who the fuck was he REALLY talking to for hours and hours every day? Won't that persons view on the matter clear stuff up? Why is no one bringing that up.

apparently 3 different people and never noticed the changes in there voices

Jeremy Schaap was used so hard to spin the story. Journalist with credibility under a controlled environment (no cameras etc).

I just can't believe that he is that naive and gullible. he went it to pretty great detail of her in the hospital in the SI transcripts like he was in the room, and never thought to visit her and surprise her? never flew to hawaii but isn't there a layover in cali? he is involved some way maybe not from the beginning. and the new gf a month later after you lost your potential wife? not sure who is getting catfished now.

A summary of Schaap's interview here.
I'm still confused. One things for certain though, NFL teams are going to have a field day in Indianapolis grilling Te'o in the interviews.
