So strangest thing ever happen to me today. I was as sleep, dreaming about everything naturally and, as usual, cant recall what they are actually about when i wake up. Then i enter the state where i also commonly visit where you half as sleep and half dream. This means that i am normally aware of the sounds going on around me (eyes close ofc) but i constantly enter and exit the sleeping state and my dream change everytime.
AND THEN BOOM! A HUGE white glowing sphere hit my head. I could feel the wave and the echo running from my forehead through my face, disintegrating my head's front half and continue to burn through the entire body from the top down direction. I could feel my physical body rumbling through out the shockwave. I felt peaceful in a split of second... and died.
My eyes opened. Question myself: did i died? and how? More question (all my eyes see now is darkness): If my front half brain is burned, how could i generate logical thoughts through out the entire experience? Conclusion: must be a dream that got interrupted by some physical activities surround me.
The laptop light above my head now hit my eyes after they adjusted to the darkness of the antic im living in. Covered in a soft blanket on top of a comfy bed, even a max level earthquake couldnt wake up a heavy sleeper like me... or at least that what i told myself.
While controlling my left hand to hop on twitter and facebook, my body now regaining its sensation post "numb state". The peaceful i felt before is now gone and replacing it is a tired feeling of a man staring at a bright laptop screen in the dark.
No news of earthquake even though i have to set my "trend" setting to Canada. Technology... hate how i have to rely on it. Want to control it instead of living based on it but i guess its a 2 ways relationship.
The house is empty... The street is empty... And i just came back after dead. Well it aint no heaven here because my room aint clean. August-22-2012

i had a deathdream once.
i was sitting in kind of a dentist's chair strapped down, and one of my close friends was sitting to my left in an identical chair
they gave her a lethal injection, and she did that resisting thing, and then she was gone
and then they gave it to me and i felt something cold, and then hat numbness, and then blackness and peace, and i sat in bed just numb
except you came to the conclusion that you were in a dream, and i accepted it as reality.
take it easy buddy, you're ok today.

What the fuck. Dude. The front half of your face got incinerated?
Holy hells.
That's the weirdest dream ever. Maybe your nerves had a shock and that was the dream manifestation?

when I was in primary school, I used to have these death dream quite often. And they are almost always the same: Me running down the escalators, arriving to the train platform, then for some reason, the floor of the platform is completely slippy. First I fall down, then I try to use my hands to stop myself sliding, then I would land onto the rail track and see a train coming.
But I would never see myself actually die though.
Most likely caused by some stress.
I remember when I was doing my A levels, there was this dream that there are some flying bugs coming out from the tomb and attacked me, I was so scared that I woke up from the dream, panting heavily and still could see the bugs flying towards me (my mind was very clear: it was saying "wtf, aren't they just a part of the dream, why are they still here, Fuck!") And I used my hands to try to block the bugs and after a while, these illusions died down.
Still, a pretty scary/interesting experience though haha

Did eat a bit of steak yesterday and drink a bit too much of Orange Juice but thats about it.... I did cut my hair yesterday but i dont think it has any mental effect on me ~_~
Im pretty sure i was looking up and the ball was coming into my head from a 45 degree upside down angle. The first collision happen on the very front of my forehead.
Its funny bc when i question "how could i still be thinking" when my head got blasted off together with my brain, another interesting question came up: Can you actually feel anything when your brain is injured? Either way, it was quite an interesting experience

hmmm, I was under the impression that if yo really do die in your dreams you die in real life...I mean thats why the shock of near death wakes you up right?
there was a whole episode on this on the batman animated series too.

Obviously you didn't die. lol
That would be crazy if you did. If you did, does that mean that all of us here in the forum are dead people typing on TL?
So please go back to your regular state, you crazy mofo!

If it says so in batman it MUST be real! Sarcasm aside, there are a lot of bullshit myths related to sleeping, like how waking up sleepwalkers is dangerous. As for the actual topic at hand, very rarely have I seen or had a dream where I didn't wake up just before I had to kick the bucket. I must admit, you had a pretty brutal death in your dream.

And at the end of fear, oblivion!

I've had a few death dreams before.
I've stabbed myself with a knife in the heart (i think i might've been partially lucid dreaming at the time, not exactly sure), faded to black and then just woke up, not suddenly mind you.
I've jumped off a building/cliff and hit the ground. Faded to black and woke up again.
Never felt pain in any of them.

I've had the jump off a cliff dreams before too. But I don't die. I lie there in agony.
