The owner of iNcontroL's fan club hasn't posted since 2013. If you would like to take over as the new owner, then PM me. We need this fan club updated so that we can properly pay tribute to Geoff and all that he has accomplished. -Seeker
Great Incontrol quote here: "people don’t like that form of play, but I am not paid to play an entertaining brand of SC2. I am paid to win. If I can do something others are not, which gives me a better look — I will do it"
in basketball and hockey coaches slow the game to a crawl to narrow the advantage an opponent of superior skill has. its interesting to see Incontrol use this tactic successfully... and it'll be interesting to see the game continue to evolve around tactics like those mentioned in the interview.

Beat 2 no names before losing 0-2 to symbol in the open bracket, then lost 1-2 to binski in the losers bracket.

ladder almost means nothing. Especially if you are a random (No offense) but i've beaten select on the ladder and in a 50 game show match i'd probably not even take a game off him.
EDIT: Ehh your not really a random though your name does look pretty familiar. Think you;'ve beat me once or twice. But tournament play is WORLDS different.
Tournaments are very different, because it is easy to get confused by your own analysis of your opponent. When you get to know your match-up you start studying your opponents history, and you may draw false conclusions from that. The same can happen after the first game has been played. If your opponent was very hard to handle in the first game, don't just blindly make responses to that, because he might do the complete opposite the next game.
And also, the top players might not want to show off their practiced or most comfortable strategies in the beginning stages of tournament. So they may try some lesser variants, which of course can get you a loss..

Whenever I host maps on the EU server for TL mapmakers they use Mediafire to send me the map file(s). Seems like a good place. No BS for downloaders at least. I don't have a clue about any of those SC2 replay websites.
Too often people fail to simply thank those that have been a help to them.
While unknowingly, Geoff has been instrumental in my personal happiness; after struggling through quite the laundry list of personal issues, long drives and quiet nights at home, looking back, I could always turn to SotG, and especially Geoff to cheer me up. The ubiquitous snark and dark/deadpan humor never failed to bring me back down to Earth and remind me some shit wasn't always so bad.
For that my friend, you have my gratitude, and I know I'm not the only one.
