That's gone now though, thankfully. Now my biggest (laughable) concern is walking at night and seeing a movie-type serial killer in the distance, that or swimming in the Ocean... All because one time I was swimming at the beach, felt something weird under my foot and picked up the craziest looking creature I've ever seen in my Life, fucking freaked me out, now I can only really swim in water that I can see through.

Fortunately, I don't have any phobia to speak of. The only fear (not sure if it classifies as phobia) that I can think of are elevators. Like, I use them alright, but you'll never see me dwindling around them, I tend to get in and out of them really quick. I have this fear that it'll close on my arm or something and both the pressure and laser sensor won't work and...yeah. And it wasn't even because of Final Destination, if you were thinking about that xD (although I've read it happened in real life?). I first got fraked out once when I was at my ex-gf's and I was talking and playing around with her from inside the elevator and the door closed on my arm and didn't open. I freaked out and tried to look for the open button, fortunately she pressed it pretty fast.

I felt unsettled looking at pictures of it, but not unreasonably so. It seems like a pretty normal thing to be freaked out about though. The photo-shopped pictures are so well-done they are like some sort of plague. I saw this picture the other day which isn't the same I suppose, but is also freaky + Show Spoiler [scary leprosy picture] +

I'm not so sure it is insecurities, I think it has to do with unpleasant experiences in the past. Regardless of that, it is still interesting to explore and to find other people who share your fears. (For instance I swear I NEVER thought ANYONE would have my phobia tripping over a wire while running at night. Anyone.) Speaking of which, I was running along the sidewalk last night, and I discovered another phobia (wonderful, right?). Whenever I pass by a telephone pole, I am always frightened that a nail will be sticking out and it will catch in my eye and rip half my face off. I tense up whenever I pass by one. Maybe I shouldn't run at night.

its so bad that i resort to biting my finger nails when they are even slightly long and there's a possibility of them getting hooked on something. Even just thinking about it makes of nauseous and uneasy and if my nail gets hooked on something i have to sit down and breathe deeply for a few minutes because I feel extreme vertigo and nearly faint and puke at the same time. even just typing this was hard work and i feel woozy

To this date that has to be the most painful experience I've ever had. To help you visualize here's a picture of them: Have you fainted yet? >:D Oh and people, phobia's are a great deal more intense than fears, the latter being the thing most of you are listing here. Easy way to determine what a phobia is, is asking yourself if you would be willing to jump off a building to get away from it.

My toes hurt now. btw those thorns are called "duiwel dorings" in afrikaans, and since youre from holland you could probably make out that it means "devil thorns" that shit is evil. A friend of mine had that shit go right through his shoe, through his foot and out the other side. That however doesnt come anywhere close to having that shit go under a toenail. I dont feel so good.

We ended that night with me getting an apology and him with a concussion and 3 stitches where I bashed his head with a hair dryer.

OH MY GOD. The first moment that I look at to see the time and instead see time going haywire just totally terrifies me. And the hands make this clicking sound, click click click click click click oh my GOD I hate it. My stomach drops and my hands get cold. I don't know what it is, maybe a feeling of disorientation, but it really scares me. Only for a few moments though, if I force myself to stare at the clock for a few more moments then I generally overcome the fear, but still have a sense of ominousness. Very unpleasant.
