Nah man, standing up near the front behind some dudes who were inhumanly tall (over watching the screen on the right in Jumpy's pic above). By the end my back was rooted from standing up the whole time, but it was worth it.

BarCraft Melbourne was EPIC!
About 350 people turned up to support eSports and StarCraft 2.
Thank you to all of you who turned up despite the bad weather - you made it one hell of a BarCraft! Thank you!
Stay tuned for more announcements on siliconsports.net & facebook.com/siliconsports sc2sea.com and here on TL for upcoming BarCrafts in Melbourne!
♥ you all!

Your links don't work. Thanks rezyn for organising it! The venue needs to shape up though, there was only a 90 degree view T_T
Man the nerd orgy reaked after a while, but it was awesome to show how much business these places will get if they just rename their menu to Warcraft

I'm really glad that it went so well. For one thing, I imagine this means it will make it more likely for this to be a regular thing.

Another picture - Can't wait for the next one.

It's awesome that so many people showed up and Barcraft was sick, but that in mind things need to be adjusted for next time.
SHIT WAS PACKED, if the three other TVs that were just playing music videos were also showing the starcrafts we could have spread out and it would have been the perfect event and venue. I understand it is extremely difficult to judge how many people will attend an event such as this when one has never been run before (becuase no one counts that abortion of a barcraft at manabar) and thats why no one is pissed that it was so crowded. But for future events you either need all of that venue instead of half OR a new venue, if barcraft is always such a ridiculous nerd sauna then people won't keep coming to them.
Other minor things include get better internet but this is Australia so good luck with that one, and make sure you have a microphone if you want to make announcements. I couldn't hear a single word the Tt esports guy said and I wasn't even in the back.
In general the event was sick and I had an awesome time, thanks for organising it! Just remember people will expect more from the next one, more space, more bar staff, more TVs and more chairs.
WOOT BARCRAFT MELBOURNE!!! thanks rezyn8!

Sorry for double post but one more thing, could you get them to turn of the flashing coloured lights that were lighting up all the wall where the projector was displaying? I understand it's normally either a dance floor or a DJ stage but we don't need flashing lights spoiling the picture.
Hope you smash the next barcraft out of the park as well!!!

I am so devastated that I was too sick to go. Seriously. Rezyn8, will there be another BarCraft some time in the near future? I feel so robbed

Hello esports type people.
I brought a DLSR to the event, but I was not prepared I brought the wrong lens and no tripod/monopod and had never been to The Exchange. Enough of my excuses though. I chose 48 decent pics and hopefully you get an idea of how packed it was. Next time I will be a lot more prepared and will get a lot better pictures I promise. <3

If it doesn't work please tell me as it is the first time I have used Flickr.
Thanks, Smash.

Perhaps if they used something like RMIT University's wi-fi there would be less lag. Big education institutions generally have fibre optic which is hundreads of times faster than cable/DSL. With that said, GomTV has pretty crappy bandwidth, and the site was absolutely hammered, so maybe the bottleneck was on GomTV's side, rather than the venues internet connection.

Regardless, great to have some great pics that were better than my phone-camera hahaha. Mind if I use a couple in my blog post today? Crediting you of course

RMIT's wireless is average. The wired connection is fibre optic.
