I played 24~25 games of sc2 1v1 without taking a break. The winrate was ~30 40% and i felt like i wana jump off the building after i finished. Have not eaten anything all day and drank a very minimum amount of water. Gona go grab some foods and play some dota until i regain consciousness to update this blog. AMA mean while, i will try to answer them all.
Stat: # games: 24-25 ( i cant count at this rate sorry) Win rate: 30~40% Point gain/lose: -200 elo game length avg: 20-30 min avg number of cheese executed: 0 number of cheese encountered: 2~3 number of BM: 2 (funny how i have the black guy avatar on despite being asian) Match played most: PvP match up with most win ratio: PvP (mostly due to my laptop cant handle battle > 150 foods so i just A move and cant storm/ff/micro)

Every time I want to do a similar marathon, I poop out around 7-10ish games. Pretty intense stuff going for 24-25 :O

That's probably why your performance and mood were allegedly terrible. Good nutrition is good for the mind and body, and helps you win games.

Winners remember to eat.
ex: I bring water when I play tennis because I know getting dehydrated would make me play badly. I also make sure I don't play on an empty stomach. It's hard to do your best when you handicap yourself by malnutrition.

Was there ever a point to where you just didn't enjoy the game anymore and it felt more of a burden?

no, around game 20~21 i even beg the Terran i played vs to remind me after game to go eat something via PM... he didnt so i keep on playing for the next 5 games. I love sc2/dota so i never feel playing is a burden or anything. Its just that when i win, i normally want to rest and read TL/reddit, but when i lose, i feel like i was bad and i wanted to play more to improve.
Until now i have almost got the 1000 win achievement with the avg win ratio of 50%+. Dealing with losing streak is not that uncommon for me and i can endure it most of the time. My method was to blame yourself when you lose, not the game, not the other player but YOU!

I was never a big fan of team EG. I followed them after PsyonicReaver start streaming his beta sc2 games from the EG house in Phoenix and i dont find any of them interesting. I dont like idra personally since BW. The only 2 person i love from EG are sirscoot and Incontrol but after the last incontrol EG scandal, I really gave up on following EG. Mean while, despite hearing rumors from my TL mods friend about HuK to EG, I keep thinking they were trolling me until the very last. When i see the picture on myeg.net i even thought it was an april fool kinda joke. The news really hit me hard as some one who has been follow TL since BW days. I know by now that signature of mine is kinda outdated but i like to keep it there to remind me how much i love TL.

I've churned out 40 games one day starting from the moment I woke up. It was brutal as hell without food or water, but I'm just the type of person that doesn't get hungry after not eating a while... :/
Then again, I've gone for days without eating, so my body can handle something like that.

Usually when I play more than 10-15 games in a row, I get a little tired and my concentration starts to slip. Do you think you were at a peak mental state for your entire run? Did you tilt at all? Did you get tired at all?
+ Show Spoiler +When I get tired or start to tilt, I take a break for a half hour or so and then come back on. Then I'm good to go for another few hours

Then I'm good to go for another few hours i was not tilt at all. Funny how i can 'observe' myself down fall by physical aspect though. Due to lack of food and water, i can feel my throat burning in the end. My mental state also not that balance and im extremely sensitive with loud noise when i cook after. After i stand up from the desk, i can feel my legs muscle refusing to work for a couple seconds.
The only time i got so emotional angry during the entire run was when a Dbag zerg start calling me n-word and start insulting me despite i said GL every begining of the game. I just F11 and mute him. I also only noticed that i have played a long time when i lost to a very easy to defend 1 base Terran all-in. Like i have 2-3 obs in that game scout his SINGLE base, saw every thing coming before hand, stay ahead in 1 base always and still lose. At that moment i know that i have to stop playing soon but losing drive me into frenzy mode lots of time so i only stop 5 games after that.

wow thats awesome~ though you should take breaks after about 7 games and get some snacks and drink water to refresh your self so your mind stays alert and you actually have fun while playing. I played 10 games today and WOW it makes me mentally tired

Once you understand the game and can find the reason why you lose (what you did wrong/didnt do), the loses will become lessons instead of frustration and everything become possible.

Hindsight 20/20, did you feel that was too many games, not enough or just right, in terms of maximum/efficient improvement. Say you had to do this everyday, or had a short timeline to get better , what would you do differently? (Have that other thread in mind where the guy wants to beat a GM in 1 week hehe)
Also, any thoughts on why they got rid of the OTBG (One True Black Guy), Hiram.

I frequently play sc2 in blocks of 20 games (though I regularly don't play for 2 or so weeks in between binges of playing. 20 games doesn't take that long to get through on ladder surprisingly enough (and it's not like I'm cheesing or anything). It can take anywhere from 4 to 8 hours.

Yeah I tried Starcraft 2 for 8 hours. At the end of the run I had about a 40% win ratio, and my eyes hurt soo much. I was so exhausted and I didn't even feel my usual mad, I was just sad.
