I got his laptop from canada computer for a cheap price with i7 4gb ram and video card. The laptop constantly crashing since the first day i buy it. There must be something wrong for the hardware part cause the crash and the blue screen of death. There was 2 reviews about it on amazone but i thought they were special cases but they are certainly not.
Emailed ASUS this morning after almost 3 months of purchase. They better get this fix for free :-/... God, i hate living without computer =_=.

You waited three months to send in something that probably has a bad stick of memory or something? :p
It should still be under warranty, however don't dick around next time and send it back ASAP. Lol.
I love my ASUS haha.

Shoulda bought the Asus G73, it's amazing!

I've ever had an issue with an ASUS product, you must just be the unlucky one. Not to mention 2 years GLOBAL warranty, can't get any better than that.
|
As mentioned it's simply probably a bad or broken stick of memory. Send it back sooner next time ;P
I'm always surprised at how long people put up with something not working properly just because they paid a lot for it.. Shouldn't it be the opposite?!

Sorry about your laptop. I have an ASUS N61JQ and it seems like a pretty quality laptop so far. It has about the same specs as my friend's lenovo except the lenovo has given him infinitely more problems.

If it was really that bad why did you wait 3 months? I've never had an issue with my ASUS and my friend has that specific laptop -_-. Never had an issue.
|
You must have been an unlucky one. Though I know ASUS can have mixed performances, the majority of the time I hear they work great.
I understand the "no computer withdrawal" though, I would go insane.

yeah i had a toyota that broke once, don't get one of those!

Don't buy Toyota Camry made between 20xx - 20xx model number xxxxx, because they are known to have sticky pedals!
Don't be an asshole. Not the same thing.

Nice, me too! Though I have been getting BSODs somewhat infrequently that I haven't bothered to track down... I hope it's just a driver issue >_<.

in my experience asus has really good customer service it will probably be free for you

As others have said, instructing people not to buy a product that plenty of people already own (and have absolutely no problem with) probably won't accomplish much, since the problem is with your individual product, not the line itself.

Good call on the title change. They should cover any repairs necessary. 3 months is within their warranty, but still...don't wait so long next time if you've been "having issues since day 1"
That automatically makes it sound like you are exaggerating the entire story.

I have the same model laptop, and so does one of my friends. Both of us have issues with the graphics card, including blue screens and freezes. When I spoke to my friend about it, he said that it was a defect in the nVidia chip used in this laptop.
I sometimes have good runs where nothing bad happens for a while, then days when I freeze multiple times. I think this is at least partially due to the high temperature that this laptop maintains. I would aim to at least get the graphics chip replaced while you are still under warranty, but I wouldn't expect the new unit to perform any better. At least it would be newer and thus last a little longer before it completely fails.
I have also talked to Asus about this and their response was basically reformat/restore to OEM settings, then send it in to the repair center if that doesn't work. So they don't have any specific solution to this, but they are willing to replace the part.
