Um, my brother is pretty tall. He's a little younger than me. At 13 he's already 5'6, we think it's because he started swimming at age 5. I started around age 13, so maybe swimming helps. Milk definitely, and just don't worry too much about it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_height#Determinants_of_growth_and_height Milk is no more important than other food with nutrients. Unless you severely neglect your diet, nutrition shouldnt really impact your height.

chances are your growth plates have more or less fused... by the way, did you know that girls tend to be taller at a younger age (c.f. boys), yet end up shorter? - thats cos of estrogen! (both bits)

I guess sometimes ur height is kinda based on luck so even if you dunt grow, dont get too upset cuz theres prob lots of ppl in the world dats shorter/ just like u.

As for anecdotal evidence: I'm not sure that I have first hand experience with this - I didn't start lifting and running a lot until I was 14, but that IS when I stopped growing. I'm at least 4 inches shorter than every other male relative 1 generation above me (3 uncles and father), and I know my dad grew until he was 20. I personally believe I'm short because of a bone disorder (can't spell the name - tibia extending laterally instead of vertically at the knee) I had around 12 combined with hyperthyroidism. Milk didn't help me much...I drank it with 3 meals a day growing up, and now drink 2-3 quarts a day. I'd suggest making sure you are getting a balanced diet, ENOUGH calories, protein, and calcium, and taking a multivitamin.
