I think is pretty much genetic. There's no real formula for growing taller short of radical surgery!

With increased job anxiety in China’s market economy, more Chinese men and women are opting for painful body-lengthening procedures to get taller. A June 2005 report on China Radio International updated the 2002 News of the Weird story, in which “hundreds” were enduring the months-long “Ilizarov procedure” (forced breaking of bones in the leg, then manually adjusting leg braces four times a day that pull the bones slightly apart, then waiting as they grow back and fuse together). As a 33-year-old, 5-foot-tall woman (aiming for 5-4) said in 2002: “I’ll have a better job, a better boyfriend, and eventually a better husband. It’s a long-term investment.”

so it must be 90 percent genetic and 10 percent environmental if you ask me. cuz those africans are starving and theyre still freaking tall whereas hispanic and asian countries eat enough but are short. also i think the food in mexican and southern chinese cooking attributes to the short height cuz northern chinese are taller than southern chinese who have different cooking styles. wikpedia said that much of the growth depends on like when youre a baby to 3 years old and in your early teens. so i guess do the best you can to eat and eat well cuz itll help out 10 percent but i have this cousin who drank lotsa milk and ate fairly regularly and is only 5'5". his parents are actually pretty shorter than my parents, 5'5" for his dad, 5' for his mom compared to 5'6.5" for my dad and same for my mom. btw, my brother is about an inch taller than me and i think this is due to the fact he ate better in his teens than i did. i was too busy experimenting with drugs than eating for about two years =/

Dietary factors don't matter much when you're in a developed nation and you can eat anything you want. In fact, you're probably getting too much of it, the ways things are going here chances are you're gonna end up obese. I'm sure after scarfing down that bowl of milk and cereal you ended up eating a hamburger later in the day, yes? Is this so difficult to understand? How often do you pull worms out of your ass? Or have to live on water and rice for days at a time? How many people do you know have rickets or other nutritional deficiencies? Height is a KNOWN marker for nutritional health, and environmental factors WILL affect your height. Genetics will never will be 100% of who you are. It can set guidelines and limits, but for the most part people's environmental influences will prevent them from reaching those limits anyways. In the OP's case, I do not know what people eat in Korea and if hes actually eating the right foods to help him reach his full height. Milk is always a good place to start. Don't keep your hopes up though, because I don't think Korea is doing as badly as rural China in terms of diet. You're probably doing everything you can to grow your best already.
