It's just sad, they're so obsessed with their height and stuff and i think sometimes you just gotta accept it. I heard that your height is mainly based on ur genes, diet, excersize and stuff like that. But im not too sure about the genes part because both my parents are kinda average/short (5'8 and 5'5) and I'm 6'0 at 15 so...i duno. You should swim or play basketball and get alot of calcium. I just play alotta sports n i used to take calcium pills which help alot imo.... I guess sometimes ur height is kinda based on luck so even if you dunt grow, dont get too upset cuz theres prob lots of ppl in the world dats shorter/ just like u. so errr, who's your real dad?

(both bits) I grew about 2-3 inches from 17-19. I think dude could easily grow a little more. However it is all genetics imo. I didnt play sports after first year of high school(And never when I was little), drank soda and ate horrible food and im 6'.

![]() There is no way to seriously grow taller. It's your genes, if you're 17 and the nutrients etc that you've eaten in your earlier years haven't made you grow any taller you're probably done.

Don't expect it to do more than that though; if your genetic maximum height is 5'7 dont expect milk to make you any taller. Haji mentioned some hormone therapy, but its prohibitively expensive and its usually reserved for people who really need it. You will continue to grow until about 21, when your epiphyseal plates fuse, so don't stress too much, you have some time to grow still. Also, if you've seen Gattaca, there really are procedures that break your shins and force them apart to encourage bone growth in between. You'l probably be bedridden for a year and be in excruciating pain and have a fucked up immune system, but its doable. Not really recommended though.

A lot of it depends on genetics and how well you ate in childhood. If you're 17, I'm afraid there isn't much you can do (without of crazy steroids), to "force" your growth at this point. But 5'7 isn't that short.
