I referenced the third world/underdeveloped countries because they are noted for nutritional deficiencies, high prevalence of parasites and other environmental effects that limit an individual from attaining their maximum potential height. If you developed parasitic infections in California and/or subsided on a nutritionally inadequate diet, you can bet your ass your body isn't going to reach its maximum potential. I don't see how you can even argue this. If you're starving in Africa and you're over 6 feet tall, you either have the genetics that allow you to be tall, or have a GH disorder. This does not mean that person has reached their fullest height, and I'm pretty sure I already said something to that effect. For reference: http://www.journals.uchicago.edu/cgi-bin/resolve?id=doi:10.1086/318090&erFrom=-2446693321904345689Guest http://oep.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/58/3/450 http://grande.nal.usda.gov/ibids/index.php?mode2=detail&origin=ibids_references&therow=269504 30 seconds on google scholar. Its funny how much a little research can do. I hope this was enlightening to you. I realize you're being hesitant to accept what people are saying on the internet, but try to be smarter and check the facts before you say they "SUCK". So that, you know, you don't stay stupid. PS Travis I hope that wasn't directed at me, otherwise this applies to you too.

Oh yes, because strafe is an expert in biology and child development ![]() By the way please, would you people mentioning posture, explain how posture would help someone GROW taller? Obviously standing up straight will help you be a little taller, but it will do nothing for how one grows.

Unless you severely neglect your diet, nutrition shouldnt really impact your height. Congradulations on being one of the few intelligent posters in this thread. Oh and Haji, hes right about doctors being able to do something with hormones for patients who haven't entered puberty yet. Heres why: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pituitary_gland Its responsible for growth as well as most of the changes encountered during puberty. Keep in mind that only a quack would use a intense hormone therapy such as this on someone like you ![]()

I had alot of problems with this because of some stupid rare disease when i was very young so the doctors told me i won't get past 1.50m unless i follow treatments. And so, with the luck of having great parents i followed 6 years of treatment with growth hormones (my epiphysis and hypophysis weren't working well) and oh well, i reached 1.70, i'm not tall but i'm quite satisfied with myself.
