Race distribution and balance - Season 6 2013

Tonight I went on a ladder bender and guess what? As a Terran I lost all of my games bring my win ratio to below 30% for the season. Now I may only be a silver league player but I know BS when I see it and I'm seeing it more and more these days than ever in the game I truly love and admire. Regretfully, the imbalance in SC2 has made it nearly impossible to enjoy any more.

In a quest for answers, mostly to show my teammates they are wrong, I put together the following statistics for your digestion. Please note I'm not trying to start a bitch fest about balance. I sincerely want answers to why Terran gets the sh*t end of the stick every time there is a patch and when Blizzard is going to actually make an effort to balance the game for everyone. In a recent forum post Blizzard claims the "matchup balance is looking pretty solid at the very highest levels of play, as well as across all skill levels, and even among major tournament winners." yet they only site results from the "top 1000 Matches".(1) Here are some stats I pulled up on SC2Ranks this evening:

* Of the 822 GM players worldwide 40.99% are Protoss, 33.81% are Zerg, and only 24.33% are Terran.
* Of the 4,713 Master players worldwide 36.07% are Protoss, 35.03% are Zerg, and only 26.37% are Terran
* Of the 8,277 Diamond players worldwide 35.10% are Zerg, 33.28% are Protoss, and only 27.48% are Terran
* Of the 12,653 Platinum players worldwide 36.16% are Zerg, 30.87% are Protoss, and only 27.59% are Terran
* Of the 31,017 Gold players worldwide 35.63% are Zerg, 29.87% are Protoss, and only 26.43% are Terran
* Of the 44,675 Silver players worldwide 31.72% are Zerg, 30.11% are Protoss, and only 28.17% are Terran

If this game is as balanced as they claim, explain to me how come the race distribution in all of the leagues is so off. Seriously, again not trying to bitch. Help me understand.

Keep in mind that outside of Korea, Terran is just a much less popular race than Zerg and Protoss. This was always the case, even when Terran was the dominant force in the game (which was during all of WoL until the last few months). You have to look at win rates, not at % of players who are Terran.

Where can one find these statistics? Blizzard certainly isn't publishing them. We, the Starcraft community, have very little to go on unless you want to spend hours copy and pasting stats into a spread sheet, but even then that won't reflect balance (TvZ, TvP, and ZvP) just individual player win ratios.

Look at the consistency in the stats I provided above. In every league listed Terran is the least represented. If the game was balanced there would be closer ratios of race distribution. That's logical, is it not? Instead we have Zerg and Protoss domination all across the board.

What am I not getting? :-(
