Because, I submitted to the competition already, why the hell not?

So the map turned out being rather similar to Blue Storm, hence the name. I intentionally tried to make the map a bit smaller than normal, and I've found that people have been wasting quite a bit of space with their maps now that there are no map boundary limits. This design tries to maximize the space it has and I think it plays out rather well.
The initial shortest path between the two players is through a small ramp through their natural. Each ramp has a set of two collapsible rocks so once you kill one rock, both go down (I didn't intend for this, it's just the way the collapsible rocks automatically work). Now, the intention is that as the game progresses to midgame, each player will destroy their own sets of rocks while they expand to reduce counterattack effectiveness, or to at least delay it. As the game progresses to late game, the rocks will be relatively quick to be destroyed again as armies grow bigger and expansions grow closer to the opponent's natural. This will be a big counterattack angle from then on. I based it off of Troy gates and how they work, but unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to fiddle around with the data editor to make the rocks invincible, so heck, I went with what I had.
The alternative expansion route is through the ramp to the centre expansions (Credit Superouman for giving me this idea). This will lead you much closer to the opponent's base so it'll be the expansion of choice for an aggressive player. They'll have to defend the rocks though, lest the expansion get cut off from the natural.
Not published yet, will publish if enough interest. Comments, criticism welcome.
Forgot player count in title. Oh well.

I love that this map rewards map presence and positioning. Too many maps you're either sitting at home or attacking until some hypothetical lategame stage. Would be fun to see some games on it, gl.

Please keep mapping. Loved your maps when I first started.

Oh, I love this.
The double rocks could get some use, I think.

Thank you for your support everyone. Not sure if I will continue making maps as I'm pretty busy. University+Personal Life+Play TF2 semi-competitively. I sort of tired of making maps seriously and this was my first one in over a year so it wasn't as bad. I'll try to make more maps in the future but not sure how far I'll get.
I'm pretty honored that you guys remember from way back. Didn't think I'd get that type of recognition. Thanks for dem feels.
33s is pretty short but pretty much any force of 5+ units can take down the collapsible rocks pretty quickly. Alternatively, it'll encourage players to delay their expansions a bit. Perhaps not the best thing for the current players but I won't to encourage development in the metagame.

It's not even particularly amazing, more people should be able to make maps of this level by now lol.
and you might have gotten better at not sounding like an aggressive know it all .. no?

i dislike barrin in disdain/meme mode.. i quote: "more people should be able to make maps of this level by now lol"
anyway, i shouldn't have said anything, but i felt he might be "down" or "low" or other.. and wished to show him that i thought he might be .. (that he wasn't being ignored or such)

Okay you redeemed yourself with giving this long apology . It's just that negative criticism, especially without reasoning, can be pretty annoying.
Not related to the last comment, this statement really hit me a bit: Not published yet, will publish if enough interest. It hit me because I forgot that a lot of maps don't even get any games. I can easily get map testers because I am in a huge clan and host weekly tournaments, but most map makers probably don't have this privilege. I wonder if it's possible to create a map testing community, I've tried to help make it happen once, but maybe it is time to try again.
After actually looking at it, this map is pretty interesting, gameplay wise would probably be pretty aggressive, which is very fun to see, and the rocks give very interesting dynamic in the early game and mid game, but the aesthetics are pretty unclear, I wonder how it is in the game, but it's really weird in the overview.

When I was playIng more frequently, i was masters so i could practice with buddies but im all out of shape XD. After seeing Blitzkrieg played by pros, i found a lot of flaws i didnt see before. And while masters play is good and all, it really doesnt compare with pros.
Not to discourage you from testing this. In fact, that would be great. Any testing is better than no testing. I can publish it soon. I've played around on the map by myself and while the deco looks confusing in the overview, it looks better in game. Spacing is good and i think it really turned out nice.
