With the release of Heart of The Swarm, Clarity Gaming will be opening its doors to take in and help foster up-and-coming talent. In doing so we hope to allow 8 players the opportunity to prove themselves in an established team environment. The final roster will be showcased week to week in various events while they compete for a spot on our professional roster and the opportunity to win a fully paid trip to a Premier North American event.
Clarity Gaming’s CEO: Brandon “Adama” Altman had this to say:
“Clarity Gaming is dedicated to the promotion of the next generation of eSports' torch bearers. Investing in the future of the industry is the responsibility of all of us who truly care about the growth and sustainability of professional gaming.”
Team Operations Manager Mike “winteR” Ortlani added:
“Our plans for the Clarity Academy will change the face of professional gaming by fostering new ideas and breaking from the bad habits of the established modes of thought. New talent is the lifeblood of any industry; this is especially true of an industry where being in your mid 20s is considered 'old'. Clarity Gaming is dedicated to providing the development of high quality gaming and our academy is representative of that.”

Once accepted into the academy, 8 players will be participating in weekly in-house events and practice. The players will be reviewed each quarter (every 3 months, prior to main events) with the chance for a promotion to the professional team. Promotions will be based on the ability to produce results consistent with the professional roster.

EDIT: Some Q&A from the thread thus far:
+ Show Spoiler +
Q: Is there an age requirement?
A: Not currently, this may change down the line.
Q: Which account code should I provide?
A: Feel free to attach all of them. As HotS official release will be a continuation of your WoL account, that is the one we ask at a minimum. At the end of the day all accounts are better than 1.
Q: How Do we turn in our Application?
A: If you're asking about the player application - Simple copy the form from the link, fill your info in and send it to the email listed: clarityacademy@gmail.com with subject line 'Player Application.'
If you're talking about applying for a media/management position then you should have a prepared resume like mine (shown as an example). Or a portfolio if you are a caster, and write up a cover letter like you would for any 'real' professional job. Send both in PDF format to the email listed above with subject line "Staff Application.'
Q: Is living in the Team House Required?
A: No, it is not required. In fact the team house as of right now is not going to be specifically involved in the Player Academy. We hope to bring players into the house down the line but right now that is not fiscally feasible. Players who show enough promise who can also cover their end of living in the house would be able to move in.
Q: Why are you only taking players from ‘NA’ region:
A: First of all, we want to start in the NA region because we are based there, and we understand there is a great need to help progress SC2 and the eSports industry in general here in NA.
We are accepting applications from: Canada, US, South America, Latin America. Some restrictions/stipulations will apply to players residing outside of the US.
We intend to expand into EU when we have more financial backing. Unfortunately we just can't take that large of a step right now.
Q: Will the recruitment tournament be casted?
The 4th and final tournament definitely will be. I am working on covering the Saturday portions of the first 3 as well, but that is not set in stone yet. That will be finalize by the application deadline.
