Hey all!
Ive received my beta key two days ago. Even though i can play mostly lagg free on the north american server in WoL, its impossible for me to play the HotS beta. I dont mean the usual delay which is quite usual, i mean lagg spikes which occure every 2-3 seconds, which makes it impossible for me to micro/macro correctly. I have a very good computer and play on low settings, fps are NOT the issue of those laggs, neither is my connection. I dont know what i shall try to fix that. Ive also tried to search via google and teamliquid, unfortunately i couldnt find something which helped me.
If anyone knows how to fix that, please answer  Thanks!

Regards the things you guys answered so far:
- i tried the chat channel thing, it didnt work
- on the one hand i think its a server issue because some people are having laggs for two days now who had no laggs before. on the other hand i dont think its a server thing because many people from europe, especially from uk, dont experience those damn spikes. and that issue has nothing to do with too weak cpu or memory, im pretty sure about that.
what does that tell us? i dont know.. T_T

Hey dudes. About 3 weeks ago the lagg disappeared for me. I just have a little bit of latency like i was playing on the NA server on WoL, but no laggs or spikes. I hope the problem is solved for you guys too.

For one week i have had spikes (a few every minute), most people i know have the same problem. I guess the servers are a little bit overstretched :-(

Ive experienced stutter-step laggs (it feels like FPS is dropping hugely, even tho FPS are allright) in addition to the delay and the spikes for a few days now. It gets more and more unplayable in my opinion

It seems to be the same for everyone in Europe as far as I can tell. I don't know how those things work but they seem to use crap servers for HotS.

I don´t think you can fix it. I have the same problem, apart from a delay of 2000ms.... I guess this is on Blizzards part. I hope that they´ll activate a Europe server soon, since everyone potentially has a beta key now.

Im pretty sure not everyone from EU has those problems. I spoke to some people in the public chat yesterday, some of them were from EU and claimed that they dont have those issues. It has to be something else i think.
Dammit i was looking forward to that beta so much.. and now.. T_T

It depends of who u play against.
If you are european, and play an european player, u will have the same ping than in WoL.
If you are european, and play an west-cost american, u will have a lot of delay, same with asian players.
So, for me, the better solution atm is to play afternoon, when it's morning in america, and night in asia.

I'll try that this evening. But do you mean just the delay or also the lagg? I dont mind the huge delay tbh, the spikes where i cant do anything for ~2 ingame secs are the annoying thing

I don't find I have any difference when I play with Koreans or with anyone else. I think it makes no difference where your opponent is from, because both your computer still have to communicate with the server each time you make an action.

I play from Europe and must say I have no such problems. Occasionally will lag a bit but nothing like you mention. But as mentioned I think it depends on who you play.

Leave chat channels containing a lot of people when playing...
I had lags with those at start of the beta.

i did also read about closing the chatchannels which didnt help in that case. in all of the 10 games i played i had the same terrible laggspikes, it didnt matter against who i was playing

I have this occasionally but it will happen 2-3 times a game ten disappear. Attributed it down to bad connection, but didnt make me feel any better when my Vikings skipped ahead in time and ended up floating right into a stalker colossus ball and getting me owned...

I got the same problem. I'm from germany and my internet and pc are fine. But every 2-3 seconds i also get some little lags / spikes, call it what u want. I cant play properly and found no solution. This is so ****** annoying, i was so happy when i got my key 2 weeks ago and now i cant play so sad. Hopefully blizzard will fix it when nobody else has an idea

I've been in beta for a couple of months and started getting mad lag a couple of days ago. I'm sure now that wcs is over, they'll be able to look into this

Most of the time it's not that bad but I definitely have lag, some games it's so much I just gg. But it's to be expected, this is a beta and they propably don't want to dedicate that many servers just for testing.

HoTS is completely unplayable for me as well.
Huge lag spikes, and 1000ms delay.
I'm playing from Europe, mostly against Europeans. If it's possible they should open up a new server because of the huge expanse in beta key access.

yeah feels pretty laggy specially when you switch hotkey and wathc workers in looks pretty laggy, even though I have like 150FPS lol

I haven't really seen these issues too much, seems just like when I play WoL to me.
I've seen the odd person complaining about it in chats, perhaps its a local thing?
