INTRODUCTION
Nope again. This thread is not about tournament organizers, teams, streaming websites, or any other niche businesses in SC2 e-sports scene today. Rather, this is about businesses “in game” that we usually never pay enough attention to. Sounds familiar? Yes, I posted Underground Activities in Starcraft 2 about a month ago. If you have read that thread, and yet opened this thread expecting to read about various business models in Starcraft 2 scene, then you got fooled again
Ever since the days of Scrap Station, map makers have used interesting ad/business doodads that Blizzard included in map editor. Often times, we are so caught up in watching how battles go in games that map features like these are awfully neglected. Last time, we appreciated Blizzard designers for working on underground designs. This time, we appreciate Blizzard designers for including these doodads AND Blizzard/non-Blizzard map makers for using them to make maps interesting in and of itself. Let’s get down to business!!Graphics are ultra&extreme for all settings. Note that every picture has different camera distance to the object. Some of them can be found on multiple maps.
