Map pool: WCS Daybreak, WCS Ohana, WCS Cloud Kingdom, WCS Entombed Valley, WCS Antiga Shipyard, WCS Tal'Darim Altar and WCS Shakuras Plateau
Seeded players: The Korean WCS National Finals will consist of 32 players:
10 seeded GSL players: Ranks 1-10 of the 2012 GSL Point Ranking (Including Season 3).
6 seeded KeSPA players: KeSPA recommended seeds (SK Planet SC2 Proleague R1/2 StarCraft II results Top 6). KeSPA seeds will be most likely announced on July 22nd. Once these players are announced), they will be removed from the brackets and opponents will receive walkovers.
16 players will qualify via the WCS Offline Preliminaries.
I might be a bit slow to update the results of Group A-D [busy-ish during those times], so if anyone can reliably update/LR the results of Day 1 feel free to remake the thread or you can use liquipedia for results in the meantime ^^ woop~ cheering for byun, soulkey, bboongbboong, jyp, creator, and choya!
I actually like how they choose maps for the matchup:
Official WCS map selection process: - Player 1 and Player 2 are determined via coin flip - P1 vetoes one of the 7 maps - P2 vetoes one of the remaining 6 maps - P1 vetoes one of the remaining 5 maps - P2 vetoes one of the remaining 4 maps - P1 selects the map for the first set among the 3 remaining maps - P2 selects the map for the second set among the 2 remaining maps - The last remaining map will be used for the third set, if needed
i think it's cos the other teams have SPL on sunday, so they play on monday instead
