Prizes

The first team to defeat everyone on the opposing team's roster (5 wins, or a best of 9) will earn $500 for their team to split however they want. To make things even more interesting, we are including a $100 bounty for each victory that a team earns, for new challengers to try and claim. For example, if a team wins 3 weeks in a row, they will have earned themselves $1,500 total, and have $300 worth of bounty on them. If a new team defeats them, they will earn the $500 for winning the week, as well as claim the $300 bounty.

SlayerS is the fourth team to win the IPL Team Arena, and they have earned themselves $2,000 and a $400 bounty on their heads. Millenium has international superstars on the team that are perfectly capable of defeating the best players in the world. Stephano in particular has had astounding success in the last two months at live events, and Millenium will no doubt be leaning on him to lead them to victory. Here are their full rosters:

For some reason I feel slayers won't send out MMA if stephano comes out and they lose games. He hasn't been participating in anything other than GSL lately, and he didn't even go to the AOL 2.

SlayerS should win this easily, although Stephano certainly has the best chance out of any player thus far to take a game off of them.

5-1? 5-2? However many games Stephano can get. No one else should get any games (remember the two roflstomp shut-outs so far from two of the lower-tier players on SlayerS).

Millenium has a decent lineup, but this still feels like Stephano vs Slayers to me. The others might be able to take a game or two off a b-teamer, but as soon as Slayers sends out one of their big guns, it's going to be up to Stephano to stop him.

I think SlayerS will take it, but I think mainly only Stephano and Tarson can really do ANYTHING against them. It's unlikely, but perhaps LaLush or Adelscott can pull off something crazy and take a game off of a b teamer.

Status of Millenium's players :

Stephano : At his peak right now. He can beat koreans on a regular basis, certainly one of the few in the world that can.

Adelscott : His teammate's success eclipses the fact that he is still a strong player. He was confined to a niche playstyle but it seems that Stephano managed to shake him up and make him train other strategies. While strong on combat mechanics, he is outplayed on longer macro game. His game decisions could make a difference if the games are shorter. Stands no chance against a Code S player, could win against a low-tier if there is no cheese involved.

LaLuSh & DieStar : They are currently not consistent enough to hope winning a game against a mid-tier korean. A low-tier korean should beat them fairly easily. LaLush problem lies probably within his motivation and decision making while DieStar tried to improve his macro but has still difficulties with achieving an overall game plan

Tarson : He isn't playing after his defeat at the WCG Poland. His motivation won't be high enough to grasp a win. He was a Top 3 terran in EU, he isn't in the top 10 anymore.

Feast : The upcoming player from Millenium. He has shown very good plays lately but it's hard to judge him fairly. I believe he could be another Stephano based on his commitments to training but that's a personal opinion.

I think the level of Tarson/Lalush/Adelscott/DieStar is not that far apart.
Millenium should be able to show better, especially one strong player is worth a lot in this format. If they get 2 wins from Stephano and 1 from the others, they equal mouz and liquid.
