EPTNow its a well known fact that as a community of gamers....we aren't rich. i mean some of us have enough money for shiny new gaming gear with glowing blue light, but we're not rolling in the dough, by any means. The problem is, we all want to make the pilgrimage to MLG Orlando to see our heroes in action.
i think many gamers could easily afford the trip to Orlando, and the ticket to MLG, but are discouraged by prohibitively high hotel prices. That is sad.
Ideally, to go to MLG for the entire weekend, you'd want to be staying in the Gaylord palms resort...its in the same building as the venue and the prices are reasonable. (Rate: $146.00 + $15 Resort Fee single/double/triple/quad)
so , what i was wondering, was if some fellow TLers would want to crash with me at MLG to mitigate the cost. I'm hoping for 3 yes's , in order to pay the least amount of money possible.
So, the event is October 14, 15, and 16.
that's two nights. 146x2/4=73
73 dollars gets you a room for the entire event!
Anyways, i think this is a great idea , and i cant believe no one has thought of it before. So if we manage to fill one hotel room feel free to use this thread to find temporary hotel-mates for you too!
