Main bases have no gas, and only four mineral patches. Sky is not symmetrical, but is somewhat balanced. + Show Spoiler +
The bottom right main has 1 tiny ramp opposed to the large entrance for the top left main. This is contrasted in that the bottom rights natural is out in the open while the other players is safe and secure.

No custom tilesets!

Low settings^
*Update*
-Added a ramp overlooking the city natural entrance, since cannon contain / bunkers were way to strong for the other player. (lets the container to break out with vision) And some LoS blockers there.
-Added a lowered supply depot at the only third base, (once again balancing the contains from both players.)
-Doubled the size of the ramp for bottom right.

I'm all for asymmetry, but 4 mineral patches and no gas at a main? Is that an attempt at dragging out the game longer than Lings/Marines/Zealots?

I don't see how its balanced... one main has a massive choke, and the other is tiny. I see 99% worker rushes. And six pools would dominate. If you want that, why not just put the mains right next to each other?

[edit] However, I like the aesthetics!! Would be pretty fun to play on lol.

Changing the resource setup that drastically basically makes this more of a UMS map than a melee map, because you're not really playing the game of Starcraft 2 that you know and understand if you're playing on this map.

I also don't think it's "somewhat balanced" at all. It heavily favors the person who spawns on the bottom right. Not only do they have another base closer to them, but their main is on high ground and is thus more easily defendable. And their main's ramp is forcefieldable as well, while the other isn't.

Asymmetry can work but you still need an asymmetrical balance. There needs to be drawbacks for the side that's favored.

But aesthetically, it's very nice.

thanks for the comments. can anyone help me test? im having trouble with protoss and to be honest the positions on the map dont matter at all lmao, it plays so weird.

its cool to have a BB'esque map, but this is pretty imbalanced, i mean, as the bottom player, securing the third is much easier.

copy everything you have, rotate and make it an awesome 1v1 with an extra ramp to the botom main as 4th. rotatethird minerals with their back towards main.this can be done in 5minutes and will be a fun map. i would like it really.

when you go experimental with resources at least make a solid regular layout so that players and mpers can understnd how less minerals affect the game.

what would you say is the concept you were shooting for with this map?
I like the idea of forcing expansions and incredibly easy scouting, but does this really pan out in a game?

cause it makes for interesting games. i did this map as a test, and so far its ok. having full saturation after like 20 seconds is cool, as is the importance of grabbing your natural. (for the gas.) most games turn into someone trying to hold the nat.

and micro > macro since youre only getting a few units to deal with. yeah it doesnt play like starcraft, but i dont think all these big maps do either. one of the longer games had the zerg getting to pop out an ultra so that was epic.

its not quite balanced yet so things are still being looked at from my perspective. but id wish people would actually take time to play the map instead of guessing and throwing opinions out that have no bearing to what actually matters. (throwing ladder games to get people to test is fun and all but...)

edit: sry that sounds a bit naysaying, imo its a really cool idea, but i feel terran would just be too strong

'Lol, you make a very different map with 2 undiscovered, extremely different features and you're surprised that it's hard?
Would love it if this map worked out, but for now, there's alot of work to do.
