Q: Express how you feel on winning.
A: I don't feel very good. It was to the point where I almost wanted to lose the final. I don't have a feeling as if I won. After each game finished, all I thought about was what Yo-hwan hyung would do the next game, and how I would counter it. Only subconsciously did I think to myself that I didn't want to lose. I feel sad and bittersweet.
Q: You kept the promise that you made to your fans when Ever Starleague started.
A: I don't want to make promises from now on. If I can't keep the promise, I am criticized, and even if I can keep the promise I'm back to the same original situation. I don't want to make promises because of pressure from someone else. If it is a promise that comes from my own heart then I will make it. I don't want to make promises to match the atmosphere around me.
Q: You've conquered all the major leagues.
A: If I had beat someone other than Yo-hwan hyung, I think I would have been much happier. To be honest, even Ever Starleague is forgotten after time passes. There's no use to success in the past, and it's always been this way. So what I'm saying is that although I've won all the major leagues it will eventually become a forgotten past. The only choice is to keep moving forward, instead of dwelling on how well you did in the past.
Q: What do you think is the reason you were able to win?
A: The reason I was able to win is that I played at a subconscious level. I didn't play as I had prepared. I gave myself to the flow of the game.
Q: What was going through your mind watching Yo-hwan crying?
A: I thought to myself that it would have been good if Yo-hwan hyung won. If I had to guess what he was thinking, I would guess it was anger at himself. I would think it was disappointment in himself.
Q: How did you feel in game 4 when you were rushed early?
A: It's the first time I saw a strat like that. Because I was flustered, I was just trying to block it as fast as possible and I made alot of mistakes. It would have been better if I went up on the ledge to defend it but I wasn't able to do that. It's really important not to get flustered.
Q: You family was here to cheer you on.
A: They cheered me while believing in me. I'm so thankful. Also I'm particularly thankful to Koh, In-gyu (Canata). Even though he is in the semifinals of the "King of Rookies," he gave up on his own league, and practiced with me for 12 hours a day for 3 days, taking breaks only to eat. I'm so thankful. It's something I felt while practicing with him but this is a player that is really going to get big. (Canata) is a player who practiced with me for the Cengame finals and joined our team. I think he will be the next one to bear the flag for SK Telecom's terran tradition.
Q: If you can analyse today's games?
A: Today I utterly lost to Yo-hwan hyung when it comes to builds(note: suggesting losing the early game). I think I came out ahead in my execution and gameplay in the mid-late game.
Q: Do you have something you want to say to Yo-hwan?
A: I really hope that now Yo-hwan hyung will never hear from someone else that he is weak. I wish that Yo-hwan hyung will win all of his future tournaments the same way he stepped past so many good players on his road to this Ever Starleague final. I'm sure he was so determined because he hasn't had a win recently... I'm so sad. From now on, although I want to game again with Yo-hwan hyung, I don't want to meet him in this kind of situation ever again.
Q: Your next goal?
A: To win round 3 of the Proleague. I'm so thankful to my fans who came all the way to Taejon (city where finals was located) to cheer for me. I have no words other than thank you.
