Soldier's Welcome Home Tournament
Seven months ago, a player who has been a part of this community left for deployment. Since then, he has helped create the New England Starcraft 2 League, funded multiple tournaments, and sponsored the AoV ISL. In the first few weeks of April, sYz-Adrenaline comes home for a long needed leave and what better to celebrate that then with a Welcome home Tournament!
When:
April 9th 2011 1PM EST. Doors open at Noon EST
Where:
Galaxy Gaming
66 Third St. Dover, NH
Prize Pool:
For full tournament
32/32
1st Place: $192
2nd Place: $96
3rd Place: $32
If the tournament does not fill the prize pool will be split accordingly based on the number of entrants with a 60/30/10 split.
Format:
32 Participants maximum. Entry for the tournament will be $15 paid upon arrival.
Dependant on the number of participants, tournament structure will be as follows:
24+ Participants will compete in Bo1 series until there are 16 players in the winners bracket and no more than 8 in the loser bracket. Rounds will then be played as a Bo3.
23- Participants will compete in Bo3 series throughout the tournament.
Placement matches for both 1st and 3rd place will be done as a Bo5 series.
Tournament will be double elimination.
Rules:
If a player is late by 15 minutes to a game without getting an OK from either his opponent or a tournament official, the players matches for that series will be forfeit. If you leave for food, the best place to go is next door. It's a pizza joint and will be easier for us to find you if your match is up.
Tournament WILL NOT use the extended series MLG rules.
Maps will be chosen from the current map pool and ONLY from the map pool when deciding a map to play on.
No observers, other than those permitted by a tournament official, may join a tournament game as a spectator.
Galaxy Gaming Rule: Spectators at the actual tournament are allowed but have to pay $5.
Equipment:
There are 13 computers available at Galaxy Gaming. If you have a mouse or keyboard that you prefer to use, feel free to bring it, but it is not mandatory. You can also bring a laptop or tower/Desktop but space is limited. It will be a first come, first serve.

For people who cannot PM for what ever reason, be it you aren't on the forum or you are banned for some stupid comment you made, walk-ins are also accepted.
