Need Help with GSL Maps(unable to save replays)

smileyyy Germany1816 Posts February 06 2011 12:15 GMT #1 Hello, Xeph has been sending me the korean GOMTV maps for a while now. Since of today all of the final versions of the GSTL Maps have been released. Check out this Thread. Theres a rather big problem. You are unable to save replays or look up the build order on these maps. My guess is that GOMTV couldnt get special Accounts for all the players participating in the GSTL from Blizzard. I am talking about the special Accounts everyone got in the S1-4. Which were basically hidden and you couldnt look them up on Bnet. To prevent any leaking of build orders through looking up the participant players account GOMTV changed the maps. Which kinda makes sense. It obviously makes sense for GOMTV however not for all the people who want to use these maps for a online tournament. You cant even cast a game of replays from these maps which is really bad. So somebody has to figure out how to fix these, because I have no idea . I think something has been altered in data editor by the "Score Results" Anyways heres a map. I hope somebody knows how to revert it :D. click me Edit: Fixed DO NOT PUT "/" in your map names :D

Not being able to cast and whatnot is quite bad, but I can see benefits either way. Idk if it would be "hard" to change it or if it's just a few simple settings within the map editor.

GTR 51574 Posts February 11 2011 14:52 GMT #6 Bump, because I'm extremely angry that this happened with the maps, I was playing on these maps for the TL Staff Tournament and the replays didn't save without either me or my opponent knowing. Thanks to this, games will be missing for broadcasting.

I lost a few tournament replays because of the same thing and I had SC2gears running. SC2gears just scans your unsaved replays folder periodically, it wont be able to capture the replays if nothing appears in the unsaved folder.

smileyyy Germany1816 Posts February 11 2011 17:29 GMT #9 Quick Update: Xeph sent me 2 fixed versions of Tal'darim and Terminus today. At first I thought they were broken too. But I noticec that I had a "/" in the map names. Well and you all know that you cant put "/" into file names in windows. Anyways I hope problem will resolve itself pretty soon. Edit: Ok the whole Issue was the "bad naming" of the maps everything is fixed now. on the EU Server. Meaning you can save replays on all the maps. However all your build orders are still hidden. (Which is great imo ). Im really sorry for my stupidity
