Wow, sick news. edit : yeah my post sucks. But that was my first reaction, seeing a lot of people who need restreams to watch GSL in LR threads. (tbh most of them are just making excuses to not have to spend 1mn to register to gom while installing GOM player and just want a "one click solution", but still)

I realize this is just a retarded troll post, but you could have at least tried harder. GOM player doesn't play games, or is a game. It's just a video player.
I play games in windows, but I use a mac mini+boxee for TV. This is fantastic :D

Now to hope this works with gomtv.net streams as well. Guess we'll find out in the morning

Wonderful news. I guess it was always their plan to have it ready for the "real" seasons in 2011. They could have told us though!
Anyway, all good.
PS I don't get it. Why would a mac gamer want an oxymoron?

Plenty of people play games, especially Blizzard games, on their Macs.

On December 24 2010 06:45 majestouch wrote: mac gamer want an oxymoron haha jk sounds cool good news as that opens up other venue for professional gaming ^^ All blizzard games are avalable on Mac, so I guess it's ok (I have a PC but only play blizzard gams anyway)

This is great news! Thank you GOMTV!

I'm so sick of these type posts. I play 100% of my games (2400 diamond, SC2) on a macmini. It's fantastic. I love it. I'm not a mac fanboy, but I will highly recommend sc2 play on a mac.

ive had it for a while.. i don't get it

This is awesome. I hate having to smack my little brother up side the head and take over his windows machine inorder to watch live matches. People hate Macs on TL, but Ive been playing SC2 on my macbook since beta and it has never had a problem.
edit: That link doesnt seam to work for me, how did you get there from the main gomtv.com site?
|
Thanks, this player works indeed!! I can confirm though that the download only starts when you download it in safari.
That said, Eventhough I have the gomplayer on my desktop, I can't activate the stream. It still tells me it's not available on my OS
|
It's kind of goofy that you can't restream the free version of GSL for players who can't otherwise watch it :<
I didn't realize this, got my JTV shut down for a day. the stream was full anyways, it's not like they were missing out on advertising money...
|
the player still doesn't work
|
This is the old old old GomPlayer for mac that works for all their vods. They specifically stated that it would not be compatible with streaming, which is windows only. This was always the biggest o.O moment for me, because its not like the mac player wasn't available, they just chose to not support it.
