Calm: It’s the team’s 3rd consecutive win. We have to win more when we’re doing well.
Hero: I’m glad that I got to be a part of the team’s positive momentum and I want us to rise to rank 1 quickly.
Q: You won rather easily thanks to your successful scouting
Calm: I don’t think I was ever at a disadvantageous position due to my successful scouting with my first Overlord. Luck helped me a lot.
Q: You defeated the rookie Terran
Reality easily.Hero: He appears a lot on Circuit Breaker, so I was ready for him. That’s how I was able to win so easily. I think I was able to confuse him with my unpredictable strategy.
Q: You’ve been having losing streaks lately
Calm: I was really annoying during my losing streak. However, I was able to overcome such thoughts by thinking that there are a lot of games in the season to be played. I’m always practicing to defeat the next opponent I face.
Q: Did you want to come out for the ace match today?
Calm: Kal is doing very well right now. I knew he could deliver us the win, so I didn’t say much.
Q: Your recent records aren’t very good as well.
Hero: I think my dropping from the individual league was a huge factor. I was disappointed from losing my match against SK Telecom, but it’s good that I won today and I will have to try harder to win more in the future.
Q: Are you disappointed that you dropped from your leagues?
Hero: I think that’s my current skill. I will gain more skill from Proleague and try again.
Q: You’re appearing on the MSL group selections. Do you want to win any prizes?
Calm: Players are preparing hard for it, so I will just be a spectator.
Q: How’s the team’s mood recently?
Calm: I think our atmosphere will be at best if I become better (laughs). That’s why I’m trying my hardest lately. People are saying that I’m in a slump, but I will try to win a lot in a short time and find back my momentum.
Q: What do you think is STX’s best quality?
Hero: We don’t have a special A-class player, but everyone is able to deliver a win. The team is competitive within itself, but everyone can do their worth if they get to play. That’s why our team is strong.
Q: Your next opponent is Hite.
Calm: Hite became stronger when the teams joined together. They almost feel like our team. They are a strong team, but we will win and carry the momentum.
Hero: Although I dropped from my individual leagues, I’m thankful that they gave me another chance. I don’t know if I will be able to play in that match, but if I do, I will prepare hard for a victory.

- 팀이 3연승이다.
▲ 김윤환=팀이 첫 3연승이다. 이렇게 분위기를 탔을 대 많이 이겨야 할 것 같다.
▲ 조일장=팀이 상승세를 이어가는데 일조해서 기쁘고, 빨리 1위로 올라가고 싶다.
- 첫 정찰에 성공하며 무난하게 승리했다.
▲ 김윤환=첫 오버로드 정찰이 되면서 불리한 상황이 없었던 것 같다. 운이 많이 따라줬다.
- 신인 테란 김기현을 가볍게 제압했다.
▲ 조일장=써킷브레이커에서 김기현 선수가 많이 나오길래 염두하고 있었다. 그래서 쉽게 승리할 수 있었다. 상대가 예측하지 않을 플레이를 해서 당황한 것 같다.
- 최근 연패를 하는 등 분위기가 많이 침체돼 있었는데
▲ 김윤환=연패를 하는 동안 짜증이 많이 났다. 하지만 앞으로 남은 경기 많았다는 생각으로 금방 마음을 다잡았다. 다음에 그 선수들 만나도 이길 수 있도록 열심히 연습하고 있다.
- 오늘 에이스결정전에 나서고 싶은 생각은 없었나
▲ 김윤환=구현이가 기세가 굉장히 좋고 잘하고 있다. 그래서 구현이가 나가면 이길 거라고 생각했기 때문에 가만히 있었다.
- 최근 성적이 좋지 않다.
▲ 조일장=개인리그에서 탈락했던 것이 컸던 것 같다. 지난 SK텔레콤과의 경기에서 패해서 아쉬웠는데 오늘 이겨서 다행이고 앞으로 더 열심히 해서 이겨야겠다.
- 개인리그 탈락이 아쉽지 않나
▲ 조일장=그게 내 실력인 것 같다. 프로리그에서 실력을 더 쌓아서 다시 도전하겠다.
- MSL 조지명식에 참가하는데 상품 욕심나지 않나
▲ 김윤환=준비하는 선수들이 너무 쟁쟁해서 나는 멀리서 지켜볼 생각이다.
- 요즘 팀 분위기는 어떤가
▲ 김윤환=팀 분위기는 나만 살아난다면 정말 최고가 될 것 같다(웃음). 그래서 나도 최근 정말 열심히 하고 있다. 요즘 많이 져서 부진에 빠졌다는 말을 듣고 있지만 조만간 많이 이겨서 다시 기세를 찾겠다.
- STX의 강점이 뭐라고 생각하나
▲ 조일장=특에이급 선수는 없어도 모든 선수가 1승을 해줄 수 있는 선수들이다. 팀 내 경쟁이 치열한 만큼 출전하면 모두 제 몫을 다해준다. 그래서 우리 팀이 강한 것 같다.
- 다음 상대는 하이트인데
▲ 김윤환=하이트도 팀이 합병되면서 전력이 단단해졌다. 우리 팀과 비슷한 느낌이 나는 팀이다. 강한 팀이지만 꼭 이겨서 기세를 이어가겠다.
▲ 조일장=개인리그에서 탈락했는데 프로리그에서는 기회를 많이 주셔서 감사하고 하이트 전에 나갈지는 모르겠는데 나가게 된다면 필승의 각오로 열심히 준비하겠다.

Kal - Trap“I wanted to win for my teammates”

Q: it’s your team’s 3rd straight win already.
Kal: I’m glad that I was able to be a part of it. I’ve had many 1 win 1 loss days recently, so it was hard on me but it’s good that the results came out well.
Trap: Our team’s been doing well and I’m glad that we got to continue our winning streak. If I had lost, our winning streak would have stopped, but I’m glad that I got to pass the baton to Kal.
Q: It’s your first game in a while
Trap: I was more nervous than my first game, but my coach told me to play comfortably and that I can afford a loss before I headed into my booth. I was able to play with an empty mind.
Q: Were you pressured from playing in a 2-3 situation?
Trap: My coach told me to play comfortably, so I concentrated on the game.
Q: You showed a distinct management by producing late Reavers to stop the opponent’s push.
Trap: When I saw the Factory count with my Observer, I decided that it would be too late to expand before blocking the push. That’s why I produced Reavers to stop the push.
Q: You lost your first game because of your opponent’s Dark Templars.
Kal: It got me well. I won a lot during practice so I was confident, but I lost too easily whether I was overconfident or I looked down on my opponent. I was able to make up for my mistake thanks to Trap.
Q: It’s your 2nd ace win in a row.
Kal: I came to the match expecting Trap not to win (laughs). But when I saw him try his hardest to win, I thought that I must win my match if I got the chance. Thanks to that, the results were good.
Q: Your PvZ management today was great.
Kal: I don’t think I’m worse at PvZ than I am at other matchups, but because records aren’t showing, I don’t think it’s safe to say that I’m good at it. I will show a game that matches my confidence in the matchup in the future.
Q: The win against SK seems to have boosted the team’s momentum.
Kal: Momentum is one thing and ever since the match, players have been doing better as well. Now all that is left is to show the results. I will fulfill my results that I could not in R1.
Q: You can probably rise to be a regular player after watching your game today.
Trap: I don’t think I’m that good yet. I want to learn more from Kal and benefit the team more.
Kal: I didn’t think that Trap would have enough skills to be a regular player, but after watching his game today, I think he is more than sufficient. I think he will be able to rise within the team if he tries just a little harder.
Q: Do you want to win the Rookie of the Year award?
Trap: I am greedy about it. I’m practicing hard and since I’m performing well lately, I will try hard to win it.
Q: You’re taking all the ace matches.
Kal: The coaches usually give us equal chances, but I think they’re sending me out because my records have been at least decent. I think they will send out more players soon.
Q: Anything else?
Trap: I want to thank the coaching staff for giving me a chance and for helping me a lot regularly.

- 팀이 벌써 3연승이다.
▲ 김구현=연승을 내 손으로 이어간 것 같아 기쁘다. 최근에 1승 1패를 많이 해서 심리적으로 힘들었는데 결과가 좋게 나와서 다행이다.
▲ 조성호=최근에 팀 분위기가 좋은 것 같은데 그 기세를 이어가서 기분 좋다. 내가 졌으면 연승이 깨졌는데 구현이 형에게 바통을 넘겨서 기쁘다.
- 오랜만에 출전이다.
▲ 조성호=첫 경기보다 더 긴장됐는데 박종수 코치님이 경기 부스에 들어가기 전에 져도 된다고 편하게 경기하라고 부담을 덜어 주셨다. 그래서 편한 마음으로 경기했다.
- 2대3 상황에서의 출전이라 부담되지 않았나
▲ 조성호=코치님이 부담 없이 경기하라고 말씀해 주셔서 편하게 게임에 집중할 수 있었다.
- 늦은 리버로 상대의 진출을 막는 독특한 운영을 선보였는데
▲ 조성호=옵저버로 상대 팩토리 수를 보니 멀티를 한 뒤 막기에는 타이밍이 애매하다는 판단이 섰다. 그래서 리버를 생산해서 막을 생각을 했다.
- 첫 경기에서 상대의 다크템플러에 당하며 패배했다.
▲ 김구현=아찔했다. 연습 때 많이 이겨서 자신감이 넘쳤는데 상대를 과소평가 한 것인지 아님 자만했는지 내가 너무 안일하게 한 것 같다. 다행히도 성호가 기회를 줘서 만회할 수 있었다.
- 2연속 에이스결정전 승리다.
▲ 김구현=오늘도 경기 들어가기 전에 성호 경기를 기대 안하고 봤다(웃음). 그런데 성호가 이기기 위해 열심히 하는 것을 보고 내게 기회가 온다면 팀원들과 성호를 위해 이겨야겠다는 다짐을 했다. 덕분에 좋은 결과가 나온 것 같다.
- 오늘 저그전 운영은 매우 좋았다.
▲ 김구현=다른 종족전에 비해 떨어진다고 생각하지는 않는데 성적이 좋지 않기 때문에 아직 잘한다고 말하기는 힘든 것 같다. 앞으로는 자신감만큼 좋은 경기를 보여드리겠다.
- SK텔레콤과의 경기 승리가 팀의 기세 상승에 큰 도움이 된 것 같은데
▲ 김구현=기세도 탄 것 같고 그 경기를 이기고 나서 선수들 분위기도 좋아진 느낌이다. 이제는 성적을 낼 일만 남았다. 1라운드 때 내지 못한 성적을 2라운드 때 내겠다.
- 오늘 경기를 보니 주전으로 올라서도 될 것 같다.
▲ 조성호=아직 주전 자리를 꿰찰 정도의 실력은 아닌 것 같다. 구현이 형에게 더 열심히 배워서 팀에 많은 보탬이 되고 싶다.
▲ 김구현=평소에 나는 성호가 아직 주전 자리를 넘볼 실력은 아니라고 생각했는데 오늘 경기를 보니 충분히 가능한 것 같다. 조금만 노력한다면 주전으로 곧 올라올 수 있을 것 같다.
- 신인왕 욕심나지 않나
▲ 조성호=신인왕 욕심은 난다. 연습도 열심히 하고 있고 최근 잘 되는 것 같으니 열심히 해서 한번 신인왕을 노려보겠다.
- 최근 에이스결정전 기회를 혼자 독식하고 있다.
▲ 김구현=평소에는 골고루 기회를 주시는데 지금은 내가 그나마 성적이 괜찮아서 몰아 주시는 것 같다. 이후에 다른 선수들에게 기회를 또 주실 것 같다.
