http://www.StarCraftAus.com is a new site aiming to bring more competitions to Australia and New Zealand and foster a friendly and competitive community. To launch the site we are hosting a 6-8 week long, multi-stage tournament that aims to allow both new and experienced players to compete in a fun and exciting environment. We also aim to provide many exciting matches for spectators to enjoy.

Format:
+ Show Spoiler +

The SCA open will be a three(3) stage tournament.
    * Series of mini-tournaments (Best of three(3))
    * Top 32 Single Elimination (Best of three(3))
    * Top 8 Double Elimination(Best of five(5))

The mini-tournaments qualifiers will run over one(1) or three(3) days. They will run from Monday to Wednesday, Thursday to Saturday and Sundays. Each set of dates will have will have multiple groups running at the same time. The winner of each mini-competition will advance to the single elimination RO32. Players are able to enter as many mini-tournaments as they wish until they qualify but need to be available for all dates of the mini-tournament.

The single elimination stage aims to bring out the cream of the crop and get the best 8 players from the remaining players and pit them in an intense fight for those vital positions.

The double elimination stage is where things get real. We are left with only the best players fighting to show they are Australia's and New Zealand's best. Double elimination is one of the most competitive formats and offers the best matches for spectators and competitors, we will be aiming to get as many of these games casted as possible so everyone can enjoy them.

is this for Aus/NZ only or SEA players all?
Timing is perhaps the most important element.
