That's right the achievement that requires you to complete the whole campaign in less than 8 hours "live game time". On normal or higher difficulty.
I played the campaign on hard difficulty and got some really slow times on some of the maps. I now intend to replay alot of them just to get this achievement.
The question is, do I have to replay the maps on hard, or will it count my time on normal difficulty if it's faster than the time I got on hard? That is can I mix times from each mission between normal and hard/brutal to get a total less than 8 hours?

good question. personally, I think it makes more sense that you would have to start the campaign over again and all the failed/re-do attempts that you play count towards the total time.
i'd be interested, though, in seeing if anyone has actually tested this.

I´m not sure, but in my experience whenever, in the campaign, they say "normal difficulty" they actually mean "at least normal difficulty" seeing how other achievements works.
|
What I did mean was that if you look at the mission archive you will see your best time on a map. I thought I could get the achievement by lowering my best time on all maps by replaying them. To gain a total below 8 hours.
Did anyone try this? And if it would work, could it be a mix of times from normal/hard difficulty.

Well you only need to complete 19 maps to completely beat the campaign. Chances are you did more than that and your best chance of getting the achievement is just to restart the campaign and do the bare minimum.

you can replay your missions from the mission archive. The achievements sum your best time from all the campaign missions, only counting normal difficulty or higher. The question is whether it will count a better hard mode time, if you have a worse normal mode time on the same mission. I think it would.

But you can't UNDO missions you could've skipped in the first place. Why reduce your time from 25:42 to 23:22 when you can make it 00:00 I'd restart the campaign aswell if I had done something like 25 missions to begin with. Way less hassle.

You might be right, but if I were to create such an achievement, I would make sure it only counts the needed missions
|
just restart the campaign, why be fancy and risk wasting 8 hours of ur life><
|
I'm quite you have to start the campaign over again, plus then you can just play casual, skip half of the missions and just get a rapage time on idiot AIs to make the 8 hour time limit not even hard.
|
achievement doesnt work with casual mode.
|
I just redid the entire campaign again. Dont risk it imo.

I'm trying to get this achievement now and just started a new campaign on normal. Is it just me or is the game speed on normal wayyyy slower than on brutal? Is there anyway to increase the game speed on normal? It sucks having to play feeling like its constantly lagging.

thanks!!! I don't know how i missed it the first time..

Can anyone confirm if you can just use the Archives to replay missions on Normal and speedrun them for a lower cumulative time? Or am I wasting my time doing this and need to do a fresh campaign?

I replayed all the missions in Archives on Normal, I added up the time for every mission to be 446 minutes (~7.5 hours) and I didn't get the achievement. I am not amused.

Kind of obvious that they don't want you to steamroll the campaign with every upgrade and tech imaginable.
