All qualifier games are to be played on the US server UNLESS the players can come to an agreement upon a different server and both have access to the server they would like to be played on.
+ Show Spoiler +
Because SC2 is awesome. period.
+ Show Spoiler +
1) All games MUST be played on the US (North American) server for the Qualifier tournament. Once the Round of 16 starts, if both players are in agreement, games are allowed to play on a different server.
-
2) All games (until Ro4) may be played whenever most convenient for both
players, but games must be played WITHIN the allotted time
period for each round.
-
3) You are expected to be reachable for a reasonable amount of time during each play period. If you cannot be reached for an extended period of time and do not show up to your games YOU WILL BE REPLACED OR FORFEIT YOUR MATCH.
-
4) Winning player must email all replays to JMS31207 ( GGinvitational@hotmail.com ). The losing player must also email me the same score the winning player did before anyone can move on to the next round. Specify in the email the score of the series. Look at the top of the OP for the format to send the replay in reporting the game.
-
5) Players may livestream their games (up to the Ro16 of the qualifier) as they are playing if both players come into agreement.
-
6) Chat is allowed in game. However, any excessive abuse and/or spam in game will be punishable by disqualification and taken very seriously.
-
7) Disconnects are an automatic loss for that player. If a game is so one sided that it was obvious who was going to win, a judgment call will be made. Our decision is FINAL and players agree to these terms by accepting their invite. In the event of a disconnect, should players not be able to come to an agreement by themselves contact JMS31207 IMMEDIATELY and send in the replays for review.
-
8) All games are played regardless of patches. Winning player will be expected to email JMS31207 the replays by the end of the round period.
-
9) Players under no circumstances are allowed to release results or replays to the public until after VODS have been posted.
-
10) Round of 4, Third Place, and Finals matches will be spectated by (soon to be announced). A time for these games to be played will be worked out between all involved at a closer date.
-
11) Pimpest Play will be decided by JMS31207, Saechiis, and a select few others, we will be open to suggestions but it is not a popularity contest. Pimpest play is not an incentive to be bad mannered (ie building shapes with pylons ect.). It is an incentive to be creative and play with interesting new styles. Pimpest play could be awarded for a small event in the game or even a perfect transition, but in the end, it will be JMS31207 and Saichiis decision on the winner.
-
12) Failure to send in replays by the listed dates will result in disqualification.
-
Failure to abide by these rules may result in disqualification from the tournament, forfeit of one or more upcoming games, and/or being banned from future GG events.
Maps:
- Before matches begin, each player will take turns thumbing down maps until one is left. If
both players thumb down the same map they can choose a different one. If players cannot agree on a map, the default map is Metalopolis
-all maps are usable excluding incineration zone
-In Bo3, the same map cannot be used twice
-In Bo5 and Bo7 matches the same map cannot be used more than two times
