So I opened the Map Editor for the first time. As I was going through the data I came across Combat Priority Values for each unit.
I made a Google Docs spreadsheet for em
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=t-Qub9NYrcOWn-ds5zqKyrQ&single=true&gid=0&output=html
These values range from 0-20 the > the number the higher priority for your units to attack.
IDK if anyone else posted these or if this is the right forum, but it most certainly can be applied to strat!

Your numbers imply that the Planetary Fortress has the same priority as pretty much all combat units. Units always seem to focus on the PF though. I wonder if this data really is correct.
Nevertheless, I appreciate the effort.

Yeah I just noticed that, I'm looking through the data in the editor. Those were all pulled from there.

hmm they should lower that broodlord broodling number....

What annoys me isn't attack priorities, it is heal priorities for my medivacs, specifically, when someone comes through my backdoor, if they shoot my scvs a bit before my army gets there, the medivacs will heal the scvs throughout the entire battle, instead of healing my army.

Alright, I've figured some stuff out...
First off, I just ran a Toss force vs Terran with a planetary fortress test in the editor...
The fortress has the exact same priority as the army when you attack move. Basically if the fortress is the first thing your unit starts attacking IT WILL KEEP ATTACKING until the fortress is dead. Maybe it just seems like they are focusing it because it has a ton of health. If there is a marine in between you and the fortress and 4 behind, you will attack and kill the first marine and then focus the fortress..
Second, you'll notice workers have a priority of 20, and clearly you do not attack them when there are other units around. I found there is another value field called "AI Override Attack Priority." Only 4 units have this enabled; Probes, Drones, SCVs, and MULEs. They all have a OAP of 10, I'm pretty sure this means if you are being attacked by something else their priorities drop.
Finally Upon retrospect even though the values can change from 0-20 only 5 numbers are utilized (0,10,11,19,20)
Highest Priority: Archon Auto Test - Attacker Auto Test - Target (Air) Auto Test - Target (Ground) Auto-Turret Baneling Baneling (Burrowed) Banshee Battlecruiser Brood Lord Brood Lord - Broodling Broodling - (Escort) Broodling - (Parent Unit Data) Carrier Changeling Changeling (Marine with shield) Changeling (Marine) Changeling (Zealot) Changeling (Zergling with wings) Changeling (Zergling) Colossus Corruptor Dark Templar Drone Drone (Burrowed) Ghost Hellion High Templar Hydralisk Hydralisk (Burrowed) Immortal Infested Terran (From Terran Infestation Rupture, Burrowed) Infested Terran (From Terran Infestation Rupture) Infestor (Spellcaster - Burrowed) Infestor (Spellcaster) Interceptor Marauder Marine Medivac Mothership MULE Mutalisk Observer Overlord Overseer Phoenix Photon Cannon Planetary Fortress Point Defense Drone Probe Queen - Queen Queen - Queen (Burrowed) Raven Reaper ReaperPlaceholder Roach Roach (Burrowed) SCV Sentry Siege Tank (Siege Mode) Siege Tank (Tank Mode) Spine Crawler Stalker Thor Ultralisk Ultralisk (Burrowed) Viking (Assault Mode) Viking (Fighter Mode) Void Ray Warp Prism (Phasing Mode) Warp Prism (Transport Mode) Zealot Zergling Zergling (Burrowed)

Well I just ran across where the medivacs heal priorities are. Under "Target Sorts" it it says "determines how the ability prioritizes targets. Then it says. TSAlliancePassive TSLifeFraction TSDistance Sounds like they heal the most hurt friendly units near them? I don't play terran, I assumed the medivacs just healed the closest healable units to them in a battle. Do they?
and if anyone wants subgroup (control group) priorities, I'll put them up in the morning. night

if i may take this opportunity to rant about infestor/raven prios..... done, thx
