Yea buddies. It's time to start registering for the 3rd CSL Season. Expect a start date of mid-February. Signups will run through the end of January. Looking for specific information, read the rest of this post!
Who Can Participate ANY college or university located in the United States or Canada. If your team participated in the previous CSL Season, you will have to re-register. If you did not participate last season, now is your chance to sign up.
Eligibility Your team will need to have at least four (4) players in order to participate, and a coordinator (the coordinator can be one of the four players). Unlike last season, you must be currently attending the school in order to participate on the CSL team. We are not allowing mercenary players this season.
How to Register Please send an email to: cstarleague@gmail.com with the following information:
1. Your team (school) name 2. Your team tag (can be different from school name) 3. Coordinator's name, ICCUP nick, and email address (must be a valid university address) 4. Number of players 5. "I have read and understand the rules" (rules are located: here) + Show Spoiler +The rules have currently not been updated for the new season, expect this in the next week or so. However, they will be largely the same except for the mercenary rule, which will be eliminated.
Questions? If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a pm here on TL.net, or email me at cstarleague@gmail.com.
Registration will run from now until January 30th, 2010 @ midnight PST

lolwat.

*edit* oops didn't read carefully enough. We got a bunch of new players in between this season and the last one, though they're mostly D-
FOR NOW.
|
yes.we have no way of knowing who still wants to participate / if a team has died off, etc. to account for this, everyone must re-register.
it takes 30 seconds.

Hrmm. I don't suppose it particularly matters how GOOD you are to play in this, am I right? I figure I could just gather a few guys who like playing starcraft here and there and join up in the league? We'd be the only college so far in Florida, so I think it'd be interesting ;P

yes - there is no skill requirement. many of the teams are in fact quite bad... there are quite a few teams that only have D / D- / D+ players... it's all about having fun playing BW.

Sweet! Sounds good, I'll have to scrounge up a few players then. Now, do I have to actually start a club or something for this? Because where I live to be honest all the gamers are either reclusive or none existant, so getting something up at the school may be hard..
|
Alright, new season has started. I encourage more random players this season.
|
Sounds great, trying to create a team at my school as we speak! Just need one more to make the minimum...

Nah, you don't need to be official with your school to be official with us. It might help to be part of a gaming club (for money, reserving rooms, etc.) but we don't consider that at all. I know the people from Rutgers rarely see each other in person (or at least, last I heard) but they're still a solid team.

Sounds good then, you should have a team representing Northwest Florida College soon enough! (btw, if you're reading this and from NWF, you should TOTALLY message me ;P)

For number of players, that's approximate correct?

huh? What do you mean? The minimum players that a team must have is 4, no less. not approximate o.O.
