(Z)[z-zone]Khan, Former Progamer and former KeSPA referee, now a memeber of IeSF, died in a car accident

If we were to pick one person to represent e-sports, it would be, without hesitation, (T)BoxeR. However, there are many other people that made a large contribution to e-sports that have been forgotten.

On October 23rd, 1:00AM KST, khan was going down a highway when a wild animal appeared in front of the car. He stopped his car to let the animal pass, when a 5 ton truck hit the car from the back. He died instantly, and the driver is in critical condition.

Khan was going down to "The 1st Presidential National Amateur E-Sports Tournament" when he got into the accident. This is the first time an e-sports related person died while he was doing his job.

Many e-sports related people and 1st generation progamers visited him to say their good-bye. Khan is a legend of e-sports that played before Boxer. his name [z-zone]Khan was known in battle.net as "God". During his activity, he won the Battletop Millenium tournament and split his 6 Million Won prize with his guildmates.

Former KT Coach Jung Soo Young said "He helped me become a coach. Without him, I wouldn't have become who I am now. He was very talented in many things. He was always lively and lifted the spirits of those around him. He always made those around him become confident."

Khan's accomplishments include 1st in 1999 2nd KPGL, 2nd in 3rd KPGL, 1st place Battletop Millenium, and 1st place 1st KGL. When he was about to bloom as a progamer, he entered his military service, ending his progamer life.

Coach Jung added "People say Boxer is amazing now, but Khan was really amazing back then. Team matches, individual matches, he won them all. If it hadn't been for his military service, he would have been a renowned player.

Khan still had passion for e-sports, and entered KeSPA after his military service, and became a referee in 2006. He left due to personal reasons in 2008, but entered IeSF (International e-Sports Federation) in October 2009. Still working his hardest in the field of e-sports, he was going down to "1st Presidential National Amateur E-Sports Tournament" when he got into the accident.

On the night of the 22nd, he was talking with OSEN on the phone saying "My dream is the field of e-sports blooming internationally. I want to quickly set the general regulations and take another step in the globalization of e-sports. I could go to the site in the morning, but I want to get there early to prepare for the International E-Sports Tournament in Taebaek in December. I want to do more and try my best."

E-sports began in 1999 and is still in its infant stages. There are a lot of flaws, and it is still trying to gain popularity. From a progamer to a referee, then as a person reaching for his dreams, Khan left a lot of regret in this world.

(Z)H.O.T-Forever, (Z)[z-zone]SoO, (Z)Byun, (T)JoyO, (Z)TheBOy, (Z)GGMAN, (Z)sigamari, (Z)JJu, (P)TT, (T)Control, (T)pepe, (Z)Niza, (Z)Cool, (Z)Bright, and other retired progamers bid Khan farewell at his grave.

Oh my fucking god ... he was one of the founding members of KTF when the team was first created with Autumn, Freemura, January, and Joyo.

Khan, TheBoy, SsamJang, and Honest were the Four Kings of SC before Boxer, NaDa, Reach, and YellOw even started playing.

What a sad news. It's a shame he just started over and had this happen to him.

On a little less sad note, most of the progamers that visited were fellow zerg players.

Venture Capital is better off spent on lottery tickets rather than investing in E-Sports; you'll get a far better return. The difference is simple: Koreans are tryharding at the game, foreigners are tryharding in real-life.
